Great accessory
Mostly I use the holster as a camera bag when traveling around and walking around town, especially if it is raining. I have a few items like cards and batteries in the pockets and sometimes with the tip of the holster unzipped and extended I can carry an additional small lens below the padding separator. I have several back packs that I like for hiking (haven't purchased any of the think tank line yet) and the harness was the perfect accessory for counterbalancing the backpack and to have the camera ready for use.THE GOOD: The straps are the most adjustable you can imagine. Shoulder straps to adjust the height for the perfect offset of weight on the backpack, and the side straps to snug the top and bottom (who would have thought they would need two straps) of the holster to your body. The combination of the two side straps really makes a difference in the way the bag conforms and carries on a long hike. The straps once tightened can be rolled up and secured so you don't have a lot of dangling stuff getting caught up in things...very neat and well thought out. The simple hooks are very easy to use and very rugged.THE BAD: The harness is can only go on one way and be right, but since I don't use it every week I forget exactly how it is used and it takes several tries to get the proper hooks in the right place. I have finally used a pen to write on the straps "upper right" "lower right" etc. They have used a light gray strap and a dark gray strap and you could tell that way if you can remember which is which.ON BALANCE...I am a big fan of my Think Tank gear and this piece is no exception and I recommend it unconditionally.

Not for a slim person.
I'm a womens size small/medium in shirts and with this strap I had to cinch it in all the way and it was still too loose and would jostle around when walking, sliding side to side.

A nice, functional holster
This was an excellent choice to carry and protect my Nikon D7000 with battery grip attached. Many lenses, e.g. Nikkor 14-24 mm fit nicely together with camera and Crumpler strap without even unzipping an extra space on the bottom. I can even put a small flash (SB-400) in the zippered side compartment with rain cover. There is a pouch on another side for small accessories, a pouch in the top on the inside and a small pouch for a business card on top. I found that this holster was comfortable for hiking and even biking! The camera can be removed within a few seconds. After some trials I determined that using a combination of Think Tank Digital Holster Harness V2.0 with Camera Support Strap Set V2.0 was a very confortable way to carry the camera in this holster, because I was able to adjust the harness quickly, e.g. while riding uphill on the bicycle. I can't think really of many shortcomings other than relatively high cost, but it is a quality prfodut that should last a long time. Someone suggested that the holster is not waterproof, although it is wether resistant(and can be made waterproof by yourself). The raincover is provided in the side pouch, but since each Think Tank module has a separate rain cover, it could take some time to secure all modules in heavy rain. In that regard, the Kinesis belt system with a single rain cover has an advantage, but is less flexible for using only some modules in the rain. You almost wish to have a choice how you wish to protect equipment from the elements. As it is now, I am lucky to leave in a relatively dry climate!

Best chest harness for big cameras
Best design of any chest rig. I use mine to carry a pro-sized body and 100-400 lens in a Lowepro 75AW pack. The strap design pulls the pack tight to your belly and takes the weight off the shoulder straps. Very comfortable for extended hikes.

works but...
hangs down too low especially with the think tank largest bag. otherwise nice.

Think Tank Photo Digital Holster Harness
First let me say that I am using this with an altered Amazon Basics large bag which I sewed metal circles onto to make it work. I think it is going to word just fine to carry my extra lens, a point and shoot, and my larger camera with lens attached as needed. It was necessary to be able to hook this combo in front of me for going to museums with my cameras and lenses (one shorter lens and one longer lens--both zooms) with hoods and an adapter, plus a few personal items which I may need on a day out.

Think Tank Again Helps us Protect, Move and use Our Camera Equipment Beyond the Studio
I am a fan of the Think Tank designer team and this harness is no exception. It is one of two harnesses they make. Paired with their camera holsters you can easily and safely constrain movement of your camera so it keeps as close as you choose to your body. Your other option is equally efficient taking weight off your neck and moving it using equal distribution to your shoulders. However, it requires a separate accessory to attach your camera and can help further redistribute weight in conjunction with a number of Think Tank belts. The subject of this review is paired with the camera holsters but not the belt. They are made for different kinds of photographer although you could use this harness as well as one of the belts even though they are not intended to be attached to each other, although they could still complement each other. In fact I also have a Think Tank belt. You need different solutions at a sports event, public entertainment events, hiking short and long distances and different kinds of travel photography. Whatever it is you do, Think Tank will probably have good solutions within various options. All are modular minded designs and each has its pros and cons depending upon the kind of balance you need in comfort, security and ease of access to your accessories. Think Tank is about integrating modular units within a complete system. In this case, I am addressing alternatives to using a back pack. On a larger scale you have well conceived accessories to help you organize your camera and/or lighting gear. I have examples of all types and scales and have been happy with the material and manufacturing standards. Everything they design is made to make life easier on a shoot and/or in transit.

Fiddly but well worth it for saving your back
A bit fiddly to put on the first time but when you get the hang of it it's not so difficult. I recommend starting with one side at a time. When in place it really takes the strain off your back. I have used it on several occasion for walking without having my holster banging all over the place. Carried in the front it is perfectly balanced and really works well. I carry a Digital SLR with 70-200 f2.8 lens attached weighing about 2.5Kg.

Warning! Straps only, no camera holster.
Warning, this is for the straps only. The camera holster does not come with this product. This needs to be made abundantly clear in description that you are getting the straps only, and not a complete setup.

Wirklich gut!
