Derwent 2301931 Battery Operated Eraser Pen, Black &Royal & Langnickel sketching artist pencils - set of 12 drawing pencils 5H to 6B

I admit I bought this out of a morbid curiosity and being completely lazy (I also have arthritis so that's a valid excuse I guess BUT I fight the blasted thing).It needs 2 x AAA batteries, not supplied and comes with a supply of 10 refills - I would advise that you practise with this little marvel first as it's pretty powerful! It seems to work quite effectively on most hardnesses of pencil and my favourite erasable ink pens (a huge bonus). As I said, my curiosity got the better of me and I used one eraser on some light coloured leather to clean it up; then found a scuff mark on a wall - cleaned!It's brilliant, just tried it on a mark on some suede, would you believe it - it's gone. This is brilliant.CAVEAT - try this on an inconspicuous area first please.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!! My mum is a professional artist and teacher, and was given one by a student as a secret santa gift one year. What a brilliant discovery!! Ok, so it looks like a gaget but it really does lift pencil and soft coloured pencil lines without scraping too much, and also it's great for getting clean lines either for tidying or whiting areas of work!! Only bad side is it drains batteries like water so stock up and remove them as soon as you've finish working.

This is a great piece of kit for my adult colouring! It takes two aaa batteries and has a small button on the side to operate. It is easy to hold but make sure you hold it quite firmly as the first time I used it it shot across the paper! I can't believe how much I use this in my colouring now it is so easy to get rid of mistakes quickly and precisely. I thought is would damage the paper but it doesn't and I can colour over again without the paper looking rough. In the packaging you also get eight replacement erasers which are one inch long so these should last you ages!

The item arrived really quickly and looks like it will be great.The ONLY thing to be aware of for anyone else who looks to invest in one is that the item needs batteries- which I realised as it states on the product page- therefore I ordered some from Amazon .On arrival of the eraser the outer packaging states that you cannot use re-chargeable batteries!!!! These were the ones I ordered as it does not state on the product page not to!!!!!AMAZON- this info needs to be added to the page please....rather disappointed that I will either have to send the batteries back, or buy other ones.

I felt that this was perhaps a rather silly purchase. The sort of gift you might buy someone who has everything. Well, I was wrong- it is fantastic. I drew two squares in pencil and asked someone to count to three while I manually rubbed at one square. Then they counted to three again as I used the Derwent and one word: WOW! It is a great little gadget. It would be too noisy for use in a lecture hall/ classroom but for home use- I recommend it. It is like a powerful putty rubber!

I do a good deal of drawing with pencil charcoal and pastel. This handy device is easy to use especially on small areas where you are trying to achieve accuracy. Using it with different amounts of pressure can be helpful if you want to vary tone.

I can't fault this eraser. It's so handy to get into the small areas when I go over the line and it removes a lot of the pigment - and all of it on lighter colours or when I'm not using the coloured pencils heavy handedly. The small cylinder of rubber lasts a really long time - I've had it for a month and I'm still on the first one. It's supplied with some spare erasers and the refills are not ridiculously priced. I've tested out changing the eraser and it's very simple. All in all, a superior product.

Brilliant little battery operated eraser! It is great for erasing mistakes and I have used it to add precise highlights as well. The actual eraser does this job very well and I would recommend practicing first to make sure you get used to the speed and angle of the eraser as it makes contact with the paper. The price is very reasonable too and you really can’t go wrong with it. Highly recommended.
