Meade Instruments 07378 Nikon T-Mount SLR Camera Adapter (Black)

This adapter fits my Nikon camera well, however it does not lock into the mechanism.

Wow one guy gave this item 3 stars for reasons unknown . I read the 3 star review and I still don't know ?? but then some of the 5 stars reviews don't say much either like fits like a glove . Not that I'm an expert and i have the poorest writing skills but fits what like a glove ?? is my first thought . I own a Nikon D90 and a nikon D7000 and it fits both those models like a glove I also have a LX90 8" telescope with a 07352 adapter . It's a perfect match and I have great trust that my cameras are safe . This also works great on the 1.25" 07356 adapters but I don't have any security that it won't slip out so you might run some sort of tether. Nikon is invested in the F mount so I'm assuming it fits all modern nikons . My review is basically saying it fits D90 and D7000 and both 07356 and 07352 adapters just to help someone with a similar set up .

If you have a telescope and have not tried doing photography through it, your missing something! Each telescope is different and requires a fitting to match it to your camera. I have a Nikon and this fits exactly as it should. My telescope equipment is a mix of the old, made in the U.S. and the newer made in China items, but they all fit together and work as designed - so if your like me and have a mix don't worry about it. I will say I prefer the older items as they are made of aluminium rather than plastic - but admit if they were made here now they may well be formed of plastic.Meade makes excellent equipment, and this is no different.

Very well made. I ordered this to connect my Nikon 3200 to my telescope. I received it very quickly and was very pleased with how it fit my camera. When I went to put it Into my telescope case I realized I had already bought one earlier and I forgot about it. Well now I own 2.

Adapter was a bit loose in the D3, so I tried to adjust the set screw, but the head of the screw broke in two. Had to return item. I am a big fan of Meade (own an ED178 telescope), but this was not a good adapter experience.

It took me less than 5 minutes to mount my Nikon D750 to my LX200 Using this and the #62 T Mount. Perfect.

Attach a Nikon to a Meade, 8” Schmidt Cassagrain telescope. Nice solid build, treads are very well turned. Fit perfectly.
