Good little camera for the money
Christmas present. Will review after Christmas. Update: This is a nice little unit for the money. Easy to control from the app.. the one niggle that annoys me is, every so often when you try to open the app it asks for your log in details again.

Could be a good camera, but.....
Bought this camera for a specific reason for which I needed to assign a static IP address to install on a remote network (which due to the current situation I didn't have access to - but, I shouldn't have needed to to do this). Complicated scenario, but, the problem is, this camera, while having a menu option to assign a static IP, will not actually allow you to do so. The software is faulty. It will not accept valid IP addresses in the static IP address configuration. Foscam support simply would not accept the problem exists even though I provided a full detailed debug for the client side software including the exact and correct data submitted in the browser cgi post and the camera response. They treated my report like I am a dumb user not knowing what I was doing. 0/10 for customer service. In the end, I coded up a raspberry pi camera server to scan the network for the IP address assigned by the router and connect to it that way. Appreciate that this is not a problem that most will come across, but, it demonstrates flaky software on one of most basic IP functions a device can have. If Foscam can't get that fundamental configuration right, what else can you trust? Would not buy Foscam again.

Nice but with basic flaws
Nice camera but a couple of flaws1. Switch between IR and normal unreliable, if often have to manually switch it (could have been the unit)2. Autofocus between night->day or zoom in->out borderline inoperable, requires manual focusPretty essential really so returned the unit

user friendly
as usual great camera from Foscam but alas the software is archaic .. as with the others it gives no ability to record and show a time line on sd card only pay to cloud ... unlike apeman and others which use apps such as ipc360... at a fraction of the cost ... foscam need to support there customer with effective software that gives full capability outside cloud
