Black+Decker 2600W 40 Litre Blower Vac

This blower was delivered in 2 days and worked on assembly. Terrific blast of air. the equipment was light and easily manipulated into any position, as opposed to other rather bulky, heavy and inflexible leaf blowers, like Macallister. The assembly of this B&D machine a blower was simple and the intrsuctions were clear. The instructions referred to figures S and T which do not exist and do not appear in the instructions in foreign languages. I shall probably only use it in blower mode as previous use of a leaf blower in suction mode were unsatisfactory, principally because wet pick-up soon created a mushy inside to the tubes and other parts and also because a lot of earth and other debris were collected unnecessarily. An important reason for buying through Amazon was the retuns policy.

Replacement for original faulty one. Probably will only use the blower function and a good price for this alone. Yes, changing to vacumn is fiddly but not too bad. One point is to make sure that the fan access cover is fully rotated until it clicks otherwise the machine will not operate and possibly seems to be a plastic part that could be a weakness depending how many times the cover is opened. I have used expensive Stihl vacs in the past and clogging is always an issue so I dont expect this to be any different. Obviously cannot comment on longevity yet

I read that this tool was a bit tricky to assemble. It turned out that it was a bit tricky to assemble! But once up and running it really is a very good bit of kit. Not used the blower as I have a petrol one but the leaf hoover is very powerful and seems quite robust. Good purchase.

Very good and powerful

When I opened the box, all the parts were loose with no packing at all. I suspect somebody else had this and it was passed on to me. Assembly was very difficult and totally over designed. The instructions were useless. When I eventually got it together it did not work. There was no response from the on/off switch, so I made the decision to send it back. I then had to strip it down and it was more difficult to strip it down than it was to put it together. I then had to get all the parts in the box, which was also extremely difficult. I then had to find a place that would return it to Amazon. It does appear that I am getting a refund, but I bet I don't get compensated for all the time and effort I had to put ino it. I expected a lot better from Black and Decker. DO NOT BUY!!!

Having bought this after being let down for a “3000W” noise maker with a slight fan inside, I have had nothing but appreciation and have been left thoroughly impressed.This is by far the best leaf blower I have used, it packs a proper punch with power and is so easy to use it is laughable.It handles all I needed it for and the lightweight design makes it easy to use it in weird or tighter spaces without getting tired.The only let down is the silly proprietary swapping function of the 2 different modes, the stick will most likely get lost, it could’ve been resolved by having a place on the blower which would’ve held it, but I’m sure you will be able to get a replacement.Overall really amazing value for money and great performance.

A powerful machine but quite heavy. Design is quite poor in some respects. The impeller is plastic and very easily damaged if hard objects are sucked up. To change use from vacuum to blower is a pain since one has to use a supplied, but easily misplaced, length of metal rod in order to unlock various sections of tubing. The machine is extremely powerful and will effortlessly suck up small pebbles.

I found it fiddly to put together and silly bar to release each part. I find it too powerful as it blows everything in its path not just leaves and suction is too strong. could do with some kind of regulator to adjust power.
