Forming Dough Rounds is Easy
I bought a sourdough starter kit and it came with a jar, scraper, and the banneton basket liners. The only thing it didn't have was this handy scraper. I use this when the dough is finished with its stretch and fold phase and it's time to lay it on the counter, fold it, and then shape it into a loaf. This scraper gets under the dough so that you can tighten it and form into a ball. It's very useful. You can do it just with your hands, but this is a bit easier and also kind of fun.

Durable, Does the Job
This bench scraper is heavy, which adds to its durability. It is also bigger than other bench scrapers I have used. That said, it does not have a cutting edge on the end like my other ones so I have taken a star off.

New Favorite Kitchen Utensil!
I never knew what I was missing without a bench scraper- now I am very annoyed I have been cooking for as long as I have without one! It makes putting chopped veggies into a bowl or pot SO convenient and easy, without the dropping of random pieces like I used to. Highly recommend to make prepping meals that much easier!

Hefty Dough Scraper, PLEASANTLY Surprised.
Winco DSC-3 Dough Scraper w Wood HandleI dont buy much of anything, but when I do, I research the hell out of it to make sure I'm getting the highest quality product and something that's going to last for many many years, never to be replaced. In looking for a dough scraper, I wanted a wood handle, not a stainless handle, and not a rubberized/plastic/nylon/poly handle. There's just something natural and grounding about the wood. Yes, this scraper is made in China, and yes, I usually try to stay away from such things bc they tend to break or fall apart and cannot be repaired. But made of little more than a strip of wood and a sheet of stainless, I couldnt be happier with this scraper. It's much nicer and heavier duty than I was expecting and I love the heft to it. The long edge of the exposed stainless is 5 7/8" long by just shy of 3" wide and the handle adds another 1 5/16" to the short edge width of it. The steel's a solid 1mm thick and the rivets appear to be stainless. My scraper did NOT have an irremovable sticker on the blade as some other reviewers have said, though there was some sort of cloudy residue all over the blade and handle (it's not oil...I dont know what it is) but nothing a little soapy water won't fix. And the blade edge is flat and square. Some other reviewers seem to be looking for a beveled/sharpened edge. This is a /scraper/. You could use it to cut marshmallows or soaps or probably even root veg if you dont mind a little bruising, but for you ppl out there looking for a quick option to dice up some onions or mince a bit of parsley, buy a damn knife. Before ordering, I was deciding between this scraper, a similar wood-handled scraper for half the price and rubberized plastic-handled scraper with a ruler printed on the blade (from a popular, reputable manufacturer) for twice the price. I didnt think I'd care for the plastic handle or the extra cost, and I didnt want to risk dissatisfaction with the low-cost scraper. All in all, I couldnt be happier with this one.tldr: This scraper's much nicer, heavier duty, and more durable than I expected and I highly recommend this solid and affordable option.(and if China lets me down and the rivets snap or the wood splits or whatever, I'll be sure to update the post.)

Now I know how to use it
I love to make bread or and to work with dough.I noticed that many bakers do use a similar tool while making bread so I decided to indulge and get one.So why I am only giving it three stars then?It is because it does not satisfy any of my needs in fact.As you can see in the description, it is called a dough scraper. I have some silicone dough scrapers that are working much better because they are rounded and will follow the contours of my large bowls much more efficiently. Also, my kitchen counter (in an apartment rental) has a vinyl that is imitating granite and the scraper, if made of metal will damage it.Last, it is not sharp enough to be able to cut my dough in smaller pieces. So in the end, I still use my silicone scrapers and a sharp knife to cut the dough so the metal dough scraper is left unused in one of my drawers. I may use it more efficiently some day if I manage to get a real marble or granite counter...Edit 5/10/2020I did not give up with it since I keep on baking bread at home. I revised my rating to 5 stars because my criticism for the cutting part was finally unfounded. It is not a knife but with a good handling, one can slice bread dough easily.I also use it now to recover most of the dry flour from my countertop, prior to wash it. With a proper angle, no scratch on the countertop.I eventually also love the handling and the size of it which is perfect for a good grip.I still use my silicone scrapers to remove the dough from the round containers, no change here.
