CANNED vs DRY KITTEN FOODš±
One day my husband brought home a starving cat he found in the street late one night. The cat which looked very young herself ended up giving birth to 4 lovely kittens.. At around 8 weeks old we introduced them to purina dry kitten food and at times also gave them this canned kitten food as a treat that they also liked. We would soften the dry food with some water for a few minutes first though so it would be easier for them to eat.. They seemed to like both foods about the same. This canned one cost alot more so we mostly fed them the dry food because they sure ate alot as they grew... and that dry food was alot more affordable. Since this canned food was expensive for me I gave it to them maybe twice a week but fed them the dry food a few times a day. This food seems like a good quality food that kittens like.. just more costly so that's why I gave 4 stars.*Thankfully the momma cat is now spayed and has become our loving pet ššHope this review is helpful š

My cat loves it. Was looking for a substitution ...
(3/4/2017) My cat loves it. Was looking for a substitution for one of my cat's daily feedings of dry food. He hasn't throw it up at all and licks the bowl clean every night when I give him 1/2 a can.UPDATE (4/21/2017)Bought this when I ran out of my 24 pack of NUTRO MAX CAT Adult Lamb and Turkey Cutlets 3 oz. to see if my cat didn't mind pate style cat food since Iāve been feeding him half a can of chunky gravy style for almost two months for dinner. I opted for the 5 oz. cans instead of the 3 oz. cans because I figured I might as well save money. This review is after a month of feeding the CHICKEN AND LAMB formula to my cat. The Chicken & Lamb Pate formula didnāt disappoint me or my cat. He eats it right up and hasnāt had any problems. I feed him ¼ of the can every night and refrigerate the rest. My only complaint is that you need a good can cover to avoid it drying out in fridge. I add a little bit of warm water to the food every time I end up serving it cold so I donāt discomfort my cat. The cans also came dented from the bottom which I think was caused from high vacuum sealing. The food inside was just fine, no strange smells or discoloration. Bought on March 2017, expires July 2018. Lost a star because of dented cans, never experienced this in the 3 oz. cans.PROS:- CAT LOVES IT- AFFORDABLE @ 5 OZ.- LONG SHELF LIFECONS:- DRIES OUT EASILY IF NOT STORED PROPERLY AFTER OPENING- DENTED CANS

My cat thinks he owns me, now
Thought I would try a new, healthier canned food after stuff like Fancy Feast and Friskies gave my boy an upset stomach. He usually vomited that grocery brand stuff up.After treating him to this food, he's turned into a spoiled, stuck-up little brat. I give him half a can in the morning and another half in the evening. He will repeatedly beg me for that second half of the can ALL DAY. I'll be on the computer trying to get work done, and he'll sit beside my chair and pat me on the arm, meowing incessantly. I get up and follow him to see him wander over to his food dish, where he then sits idly and meows demands at me. After being fed his dish, he saunters off with his tail high and sleeps on the sofa like a bloated glutton.I have never seen him treat any other canned food in this manner. He has gotten excited for wet food in the past, but he's never actually begged me for it. If I don't promptly give him what he wants, he whines and nips my arm.He has also become increasingly manipulative. My husband will feed him half a can in the morning before I wake up. When I wake, my cat will beg me for more canned food, but he won't beg my husband for more, since he already fed him, and he knows my husband won't provide him further sustenance. He tries to get two helpings from the both of us in the mornings, thinking that I don't know he's been fed already. That little sneak. In other words, this food is apparently so good, it's worth lying for.

The BEST
I have tried EVERY type of canned cat food. Even when I would buy this cat food, I would still try every type of canned cat food. My cat will ONLY eat this flavor!! They abhor pate so that's out! The only food that has been successful with my cats is the NUTRO Seafood and Tomato Bisque CHUNKS in Sauce!! I have tried all the nutro as well. Nothing did it for my cats except this brand and flavor. They also will only eat the NUTRO dry food. They would love to have friskies, fancy feast or any one of those other by-producted foods in the grocery store, but I won't feed them that. So other than the terrible grocery store food, I will only feed them this.UPDATE-APRIL 22, 2012Well it turns out my baby has a food allergy, so I had to change brands. Although nutro was great for my two cats for a while, I had to change to Natural Balance limited ingredients canned cat food. Nutro, as far as I know, does not have a limited ingredients line. So to keep my baby safe, I feed both my cats Natural Balance Duck and Green Pea canned cat food....which is a pate and they actually seem to like it. I also feed them the NB Duck and Green Pea dry food. My cat with the allergies has no more diarrhea or vomiting. My vet wanted me to feed him Prescription Science diet limited ingredients but that costs like $60 for 24 cans. I can't afford that, so I buy NB for like $24 for 24 cans (3 ounce cans).
