Real Sharp and good quality. Quite cost effective compared to others.

I use razor blades regularly because I do small-scale work on wood (I make reeds for musical instruments). I usually use the regular .009 American Line razor blades at Home Depot, but had heard good things about Extra Keen blades and found these at a VERY good price here on Amazon, so I decided to give them a try.They are NOTICEABLY sharper than the regular .009 blades, which made me happy. They are more suited to my work than regular blades, and I'll definitely continue to purchase these. They cut very easily, and hold an acceptable edge longer than regular blades.I've also used GEM extra-keen blades, which are the sharpest around (those might even be medical grade, even) and these American Line ones are noticeably less sharp. But given that GEM blades are twice the price and difficult to find, I'll take these any day. Very happy to see these on Amazon!

I was very disappointed by these razors.Problem 1. Every razor was very dull, right out of the package. "Extra Keen" is a lie.Problem 2. The steel blade of each razor is dark blue and blotchy, it is barely reflective. I think this looks weird, I prefer a shiny silver blade.Benefit 1. Relatively low tendency to rust.Benefit 2. Relatively low tendency to get nicks and burrs in the blade. This may be due to the dullness - a thin sharp edge would be more fragile.Use case 1. Removing flash from injection molded plastic: These blades are just terrible. They are not sharp enough to cut off flash smoothly.Use case 2. Cutting rubber O-rings: These blades are terrible, they are too dull.Use case 3. Stripping paint: These blades get the job done, their dullness does not matter here.
