Rugged Sharp Medium Small Knife
I purchased this knife to complement my ESEE-5 and Junglas. The ESEE-4 is very well balanced and very sharp. It has the right combination of blade length and weight for my taste. I was going for the ESEE-3 initially, but felt the extra blade length of the 4 would fit my needs a little better. I've got plenty of smaller thinner folders or Mora HDs if I need a smaller knife and need to get some fine woodworking done. This is a tough knife just like all of ESEE's creations. I guess that's why they're selling like crazy right now. They make a good knife for a good price. The Kydex sheath fits like a glove with a nice snap, yet the knife pulls out easily. The cordura molle back attaches to the Kydex sheath nicely. I can also remove the back and attach to the Junglas sheath when needed that way or attach the boot/belt clip to the sheath as well. Very versatile system.I purchased my ESEE-4 from Alphanet and the Amazon ad description showed Molle back and Molle locks with Kydex sheath within the title and description in various places. The item photo showed green colored canvas micarta looking scales, but did not mention the color in the description. A couple of days after the order I got a call from Mark at Alphanet asking what I was expecting to get from them in the order. He explained that the Amazon ad was really goofed up and only had the Kydex clip sheath sent for that price, but to contact him when it arrived. I emailed him with my disappointment two days later and notified him that indeed the knife did not have the Molle back or locks I was expecting. The scales color were black not green either. The scale color difference did not bother me. After contacting the seller, Mark graciously sent me the entire sheath/back/locks/hardware kit within a couple of days, even though it cost him money to make me happy. I'm telling you from a lot of online experience that you won't find many sellers that will do that these days. They have a customer for life with me and they will make things right for you. Don't hesitate buying from Alphanet, they're great.Anyway you won't be disappointed with the ESEE-4 drop point knife, plain edge. It's a very sharp, rugged and grippy knife for outdoor chores. I love it.

A great wood cutting tool, but use with caution.
This Wood Carving Disc,4 Inch Angle Grinder Chain Disc Double Saw Tooth cuts wood like butter. I had to cut down a dead tree in my backyard, and decided to try my hand at carving a bear. All I had was a heavy duty chainsaw (not one designed for carving) and couldn't control it to make the required precision cuts. I wasn't about to go out and spend $300+ on a carving chainsaw, so did some research and found this Wood Carving Disc. It does a fantastic job of removing the wood in a precision manner. I did discover, though, that a faster RPM (11,500 RPM vs. 10,000 RPM) grinder does work better because the teeth don't tend to "catch" or "grab" on the wood like a slower one does. It is, therefore, easier to control and makes a smoother cut. A word of warning, though...this is a chainsaw, and can be very dangerous if used improperly. Also, you will need to wear a hat, full facemask and gloves because the chips fly everywhere (with skin stinging force), including directly into your face. Buy one and have fun carving!

Carving Disk lives up to description
My order arrived as scheduled. Installing the disk on the grinder was easy thanks to the 3 metal clips that hold the chain together when you remove the blue plastic arbor. Once I had the disk tightened on my grinder, I removed the 3 clips. To test the disk, I decided to use it to remove a small tree stump. I was surprised at how easy it was to control and how much material it removed from the stump in a matter of a couple of minutes. It also did quick work removing several Crepe Myrtle tree branches. Definitely going to be fun working on future projects.

Wood Carving Disc
I've yet to use the new grinder and disc as yet. But the one issue I have is that the steel discs are slightly larger diameter than the chain and covers some of the links. As with any new or cold chains, they might stretch and then fit, such as when they heat up. Being that they held in the discs they might not then move.. I suppose I could readjust the chain safely when they are used. Edit: The disc work as expected and it had apparently stretched enough to re tighten it. But the Masterforce 20 volt angle grinder overloads and quits quite often and have to reinsert the flashing battery. I was able to use the disc as intended and recommend the two disc set under 30 price point.

Esee 4p bp
Have just received this knife today and have never been more satisfied with a knife purchase in my 50 yrs. The blade is polished razor sharp from the factory and the balance, taper, and design of this all around bushcraft/survival knife is outstanding. Was also surprised at the kydex sheath w the molly backing option. Too many manufacturers these days save by including a pos sheath, not so with the Esee 4. I had weighed making this purchase for awhile as I own the rat 3 and a bk7 wich work very well for their designed tasks but wanted a middle ground all around knife to go w my swiss army. I was not dissapointed. If I buy another knife it would be another Esee 4 no bs. And that's only if I loose this one. The only caveat is the handle is just a touch short for bigger hands but it is still comfortable n choil allows you to choke down for intricate tasks. If you are thinking of buying this knife I say pull the trigger you will not regret this purchase

Good Value and works well
First these are sharp, remember to wear your PPE. I took down a couple of trees and was looking for a good way to hollow out the trunks and turn them into planters. This helped to carve them out. The cutting depth could be greater, but it's not less than a standard cutting wheel. The chains are easy to replace and can be sharpened. For the cost these are a good addition to any landscapers tool set.

This was a great invention and I like working with them .
I’m carving cedar a soft wood and it works well ,I wish they would stay sharp longer ,and I would like if it was easier to sharpen them .I have purchased a half dozen of these to keep a sharp one to use ,making small sculptures.Useing raw wood determines the thickness of the finished product .They work well while sheering off the bulk of the waste.
