I don't have a sink near my washer. And my new stacking washer fills with way less water than I feel is prudent -- so I always add water to the wash cycle if the water doesn't cover my clothes. SO . . . I get to bucket hot water from another room to my washer. Someone suggested putting a Y at the hot water connection, but it was too narrow a space to do that. I found this hose what works perfectly! I attached 1 end of the hose to the hot water tap, put the Y at the end of that hose, connected the other hose to 1 side of the Y and attached our washer hose to that, and connected a cut-off hose to the other side of the Y, with a ball shutoff valve. Bingo -- I have a new hot water tap at my washer! Works perfectly. The washers are wonderful. Hose is high quality, and I'm very pleased.

My Samsung Gas dryer has steam drying feature but the Costco delivery guy didn't install it and did not leave the Y-connector and short hose for me. I contacted Samsung customer service but they told me that could only send me the missing accessories if I contacted them within 30 days of delivery and told me to buy one. Umm..thanks but no thanks.I found this steam-dryer installation kit and decided to give it a try. It arrived after 1 day and the installation couldn't be easier. I tightened the connector by hand and use plier to tighten it further for 2/3 turn per Samsung's instruction. No leak and now the dryer can do wrinkle removal mode properly.The product arrive a bit different from the picture and description in Amazon. The connector color is silver instead of gold, and the long hose length is only 5' instead of 6' per description. There is no big deal for me since 5' is long enough for my need. However, the product description should be not be misguiding.

Used to hook up a utility sink inlet from our washing machine spigot. Works fine.

The hose set shown has brass fittings and a brass Y-connector. The product delivered is steel, not brass, and the Y-connector seems to constrict the flow of water to the washing machine. Obviously the product that is being shipped is different from the product pictured in the Amazon listing.

Very misleading listing. Shows a picture of the hose kit but this is not what you get. "Y" in picture is brass but what you get is not brass. Hoses show brass ends but they are not. Lists "Y" to dryer hose as 6' but it's 5'.The buyer should get what is listed and Amazon should not allow this kit to be sold until the listing is corrected. I'd send this back but it's not worth the trouble. I should have listened to the other poor reviews on this and bought something better.
