Best little device I've paired with my ATEM Mini Pro ISO
This unit is a must if you have an ATEM Mini. I have the ATEM Mini Pro Iso which doesn't have a headphone output. This means you can't monitor your live stream. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE BLACK MAGIC DESIGNS.........This little box will fix that problem. All I do is send my HDMI output into this. Then send the HDMI output from this device into my TV. This allows my to listen to my livestream with a volume knob.Only thing to remember is the volume knob is the power switch. If you click the volume all the way down to the off position then you with turn off the TV. That sucks during a livestream. First time I did it was scary . Just watch yourself if you're turning the volume down.ATEM Users. hurry up and get this.

Awesome rare find.
I was really happy to find this unit as it seemed almost impossible to find one in the whole world.I needed a solution for Black Magic Atem Mini output sound monitoring. Which is exactly what this unit offers, a headphone audio extraction from HDMI signal with volume knob.Only one minor weird thing to mention. If you like me live in PAL area and use 25/50P signal. It seems that for whatever weird reason the unit needs to be used the first time with US 30/60P signal in order to wake it up. However it only need to be done once when you first use the unit.I bought two of these and it was the same with both. But once I got them woken up with 60P signal from my videocam, they have since worked perfectly with Atem and 50P signal/monitor and now they wake up with any signal.Recommended.

Works very well for something in its price range
I had some minor annoyances with this device, such as the fact that there's no way to pass-through the video signal without turning the volume knob up past a threshold that's actually beyond the initial power-on click, but I was mostly satisfied with it despite that quirk. I didn't notice any background noise (at most volume levels), cutting-out, cracks, or any of the other usual pitfalls of mid-shelf audio devices. The only time I did notice any noise was when the volume was nearing maximum, but by that point its so uncomfortably loud that I don't think most people would have any need to crank it that far, at least not with most headphones (for context I used this with an Audio-Technica ATH-M50x headset).Furthermore, I would assume that if your hearing warrants turning it up that loud, you would probably not notice the noise. However, if you plan on using this device for speakers, perhaps consider a higher-end device if you can save up for it.Although I reiterate, aside from the extreme end of the dial, I never noticed any noise.Overall, if you just want a convenient way to use headphones on a device that doesn't natively support them, this performs quite admirably and is very easy to set up.

FAILED AFTER A MONTH cuts out every 10mins
1 Month later: Unit failed. It refused fo output a signal to any tv or monitor. Both lights would turn on when you start the unit then the "out" would go dark. The unit is nicely sized and feels sturdy. However, it would cut out sometimes which is bad when you are using it to play games.Every 10mins it would cut out or sometimes it would not cut out at all.

Well built and designed *** ensure your device is streaming stereo over hdmi ***
Well built, designed even better, great to have all the connectors on the back. Don't really need a power switch, but hey, save a watt. The splitter leaves the audio intact on the hdmi out, love that. I'm using the digital coax output, sounds great.Note that if you're hearing static or hiss, it's likely because the streamer feeding the splitter is putting out dolby or 5.1 channel audio. I went into my Fire TV settings, changed audio to "stereo" and it resolved the pulsing hiss only issue and i snow putting out excellent audio quality. Love this thing.

Audio Stereo Image is perfect!
The traditional HDMI digital audio transfers from many streaming devices like (ROKU, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV Stick) to the TV’s, has a limitation on the stereo audio quality. The LiNKFOR HDMI to HDMI + Audio Extractor is the best solution that I found to transfer digital audio (optical or coaxial) to stereo amplifiers with digital input (Toslink / LPCM). The audio image separation and audio level are amazing. The optical output gives a perfect galvanic isolation to avoid ground loops or electrical noise in the stereo audio amplifier.

Works well with Blackmagic Design equipment
Needed a solution for monitoring audio in a professional digital video system based around Blackmagic Design hardware. This device fits my needs perfectly. I just wish the units were a little heavier - the heavy bundle of cables tends to make them not sit down flat! Roku boxes have a heavy metal plate inside for this very reason - this could benefit from the same! Minor complaint though. Overall a very nice little device.

Almost there, but not quite.
I was trying to use this device with my ATEM Mini Pro on the multi view output. However it randomly would blank the output on the viewing monitor. When it works it’s great- good video and audio quality when feeding my Sennheiser HD 25 headphones. I really wish this worked. I’m going to try using an HDMI splitter like someone else suggested. I tried different video output settings on the ATEM to no avail.
