Great deal if you have tool knowledge and abilities !
I got this as a replacement for my 2015 Ford Fusion Energi where the key broke off the fob. The electronics swapped perfectly, but you need to press out the pin from the new key carrier, make Dremel cuts on the existing key to shape it to fit the new differently shaped key carrier, repress the compression pin, and rotate the spring mechanism for the spring opening while snapping it closed before the spring rotates and it all snaps apart. Given that, if you have the tools and skills, it certainly beats $300 for the Ford replacement. I was able to successfully get mine together and it works perfectly. The plastic feels a little cheaper, but it hasn't been worn and smoothed from ten years of handling. Maybe the original fob felt like this too. Missing the Ford logo isn't ideal and the old backing with the Ford logo doesn't quite fit on the new fob. Overall, it's a bargain. Beware if you don't have the skills to swap out the components and cut the end of the key fitting with a Dremel. I used the grinding stone to remove metal to shape mine down.

JUST THE SHELL, perfect.
ONLY THE HINGE that holds the key blade in the my fob broke. There was nothing wrong with the key blade or the fob functionality,I only needed a new shell.Of course the dealership tried to convince me that I needed to spend $300+ to literally “fix something that was not broken.”Waiting for delivery I used a sent of locking pliers (available at Walmart for under $5) to hold the key blade, and held the broken fob close to the ignition so the key would turn. After a few YouTube searches, I found a video that showed how to open the old fob casing, how remove the electronics, then how to reinstall into the new casing/shell.This item is ONLY an empty fob casing/shell, although it DOES come with an uncut replacement blade if you need one.It was exactly what I needed at a perfect price.

Nice cheap replacement
My key fob for my 2016 fusion broke the other day while turning the key. The key didn't snap, but the flip out part on the key fob broke and the key part came out. Ford wanted a LOT to replace and reprogram the key. This was $10, I took the little circuit board out of my old key fob and put it in this one. It fit perfectly and was really easy to swap out. (I watched a 2-3 minute YouTube video) I had to buy a $5 punch to get the pin out that holds the blank key in, and then i swapped in the old key that broke out of the old key fob. Took about 10 minutes total and it works great! If you don't want to deal with removing the pin, you can take this to a locksmith and they'll cut the key for you. The main thing is just moving the circuit board over to the new key fob, with takes like 2 minutes tops. You will need a small flat head screwdriver, some needle nose pliers (that you use to pop open the key fob to get the circuit board out), and a really small torx bit for one screw. I got the torx bit out of a tiny screwdriver kit from the dollar store. Remember not to lose that screw from the old key fob because you use it in the new one. Overall, with the torx bit, punch, and new key fob, i replaced my broken key for under $20 in about 10 minutes. Better than the $250 they wanted at Ford.

It works but needs some tools to get job done
It worked to replace my 2016 Ford Fusion 2.5L key fob. I did need to borrow some of my gunsmithing tools though (small file and 1/16” punch.) I used the punch to push out the blank key and then a sharpie to mark where the old key was tight fitting into the new fob. File where the sharpie showed contact. Repeat carefully a few times and it fit tight. If you have the tools, not bad to have a new key for ~$10.

Takes some manipulation
It functions but take some work to get the original key to fit this case. Dremel and file will need to be used unless you wanna pay a locksmith to cut the blank key that's supplied.

BROKEN AND MISSING PARTS
PSA!!! Check both remotes for broken/missing parts before installation!!!This would have been a really good replacement option, but one of the remotes in the 2 pack was broken and missing parts. I have two factory Ford key fobs that needed some hardware replaced. I replaced the first one with the parts provided and it went fine. I opened up the second remote to do the same swap and noticed that it was missing the spring, and the small post that the spring is supposed to attach to was broken off and missing. It almost appeared that someone else had bought this, taken the parts they needed, and returned it. I had already done the replacement on one remote and it worked great. I really didn't want to disassemble the entire remote that did work just in order to return both of them because one was faulty. I guess I'll end up eating the second one. Would have been a really great option to be able to exchange the ONE faulty remote for one that is useable.

Works well but takes some effort
I was able to use these to make two key fobs after both of mine had broken. I watched a YouTube video and then assembled them. The tricky part is removing the dowel pin that holds the key blank in and remembering to wind the spring so that the key pops out when you press the button. On one of the key fobs, the key would get stuck when I tried to open it. So I had to file down the plastic on one side, but it works fine now. It's a little trouble, but it's worth the money saved.

Works great! FAST shipping!
The actual metal key piece broke off in my ignition when turning off my car yesterday afternoon. I was able to get it out but my key of course no longer worked. I found this replacement and ordered it around 3pm after not being able to locate my spare and my car essentially stranded in a friend’s driveway. It arrived quickly this afternoon and after some struggle opening my old fob, I swapped out the electronic chip from the old into the new and took it up my hardware to cut the key. I $21 fix that could’ve cost my $250 if I bought a new key at the dealership. The click of the lock and unlock isn't As clicky as the original but works just fine!
