BRIGHTLINES Crossbars Roof Rack OE Style Replacement for 2007-2012 Dodge Nitro

Instructions were okay. Take your time. A ladder helps. Parts were powder coated and labeled well. Manufacture error proofed the rails. Just make sure the rubber pieces are set in properly before tightening. Under the 8 nuts 4 each side, there is a plastic piece. Slide forward to aid in release. This not in the instructions. Becareful to use proper tools to not scratch the roof. A bit of planning ahead and the ladder helps. The cross bars need to be opened up on each side. Doing one side then the other did not work for me. Once both sides extended it is straight forward to set in place. Go in front of second set of nuts from rear and just behind the first set of nuts at the front for the cross bar locations. The cross bars can be adjusted, but they need to be loosened and retightened to slide. I set mine in place and likely will not move them. The rack system is solid and sturdy. Impressed with the quality at significantly lower price than OEM. Makes attachment of luggage storage, a ski rack or other accessories fully functional.

I went to a kayak show and purchased the boat with all the accessories needing a kayak carrier to attach to crossbars that didn't come standard on my car only to find that Dodge charges $330 for these bars and that's without installation. I was so disappointed thinking I had to give up on owning my own kayak since I didn't want to invest $500 into the roof of my car. I was so relieved to find these bars on Amazon and decided to try them solely based on the reviews. These are awesome!! They are so well made, look really nice, fit completely tight and snug and as everyone else has said, they are so simple to install and install in no time. I'm a 50+ year old woman and I had no problem. One of the bars had a defect and this seller was right on top of it. Within a couple of days of my contacting them with this issue, they shipped out a new bar at no charge. Their customer service is commendable! I would definitely buy this product again and definitely recommend these bars! I have a 2010 Nitro.

They work well. Sturdy enough. Easy to install with picture instructions. Took about an hour to install, but I was taking my time not to make mistakes. I'm sure it could be easily done in half that time. Good value for the money spent. Much cheaper than the dealer. Once mounts are installed, the Crossbars can be removed for a sleeker look and mounts remain hidden. Then crossbars can easily put back on as the mounts remain installed.

Easy install. You just need a 15mm socket and the Allen tool that is included. New tracks came with them and fit perfectly to replace the stock ones. Bars attach to the tracks securely. Nice upgrade to the overall look and functionality of the Didge Nitro. Seem sturdy and durable but time will tell.

I am very happy with these cross bars. They look awesome, and are very easy to install for a tool savvy person. It took me about 15 minutes to do it by myself. I installed them on my 2011 Nitro. They are very sturdy and were shipped and received on time. I'm very happy with this purchase. Especially since they are only about half as much as buying them from the Dodge Dealer. Great, price, great deal! Love the look of them, and they work great too.

I have had these racks for for 20 months, although they were easy to install and they do work very well, I noticed the mounting rails that affix to the roof of the vehicle got very rusty over the past few months. It seems like the rails are not coated with an rust protection coating. I will try to remove the rust and treat with a rust inhibiting paint or powder coat.
