A vibrant and exuberant collection from Richard D James, aka Aphex Twin, with three wildly different versions of the title track alongside a series of high-tempo yet heartfelt electronic works. The terrifying thrash of the infamous Pappy Mix of 'Come To Daddy' is a difficult track to surpass, yet make it through and there's another world inside. From the playful melodies and door-creak percussion of 'Flim' and 'Bucephalus Bouncing Ball', right through to the stirring melodies of 'IZ-US', it's an essential collection for any Aphex fan. This is such a ride!
1. Come to daddy- It is vitriolic, industrial, IDM party. Creepy, real weird vibe, I love it though.2. Flim- It is my high school years in one song. One of my favorite songs, fast, yet airy pianos, and a great bass, one of the best.3. Come to Daddy [Little Lord Faulteroy Mix]-A dirty little track(hahaha xD), hilariously brilliant. Nice drums too, very clean.4. Bucephalus Bouncing Ball-May I have a rhythmically weird beat wild track that regenerates my cerebral cortex with fries?5.To Cure A Weakling Child [Contour Regard]-Pretty good, no offense here, not my favorite track, it's alright.6.Funny Little Man- Like a off the rocker grandma yelling at her imaginary "Funny Little Man". Yep7.Come to Daddy [Mummy Mix]-Another great "Let's rock the boat of musical sanity" track here.8. IZ-US- The best ending song ever, after the wild industrial track(Come To Daddy) to the bouncing ride of Bucephalus Bouncing Ball, has the most chill, crisp, introspective track there is.;-)~Thank you all for Reading~

Great techno.
Not a techno band many people heard about but I love them. Shipped well and quickly. Their techno is great to heat. Watch them on YouTube

An album of extremes
The best way to describe Come to Daddy is that it is an album of extremes. There is no middle ground. One song will be soft and soothing and the next will be intense and menacing. "Funny Little Man" is more offensive than funny and "To Cure a Weakling Child (Contour Regard)" isn't as effective as the version that appears on the Richard D. James album. But those two tracks are offset by a couple of powerful ones that rank with Aphex Twin's best. "Bucephalus Bouncing Ball" is avant-garde electronica at its finest and "IZ-US" is an absolutely riveting closer. These two tracks rank with "Boy/Girl" and "Windowlicker" for sheer hypnotic effect that is given to the listener. You just don't want them to end. The four other songs, especially "Flim", are satisfactory. The production on Come to Daddy is what instantly struck me the most. As great as the production on the Richard D. James album was, it's just not as pristine and crisp-sounding as Come to Daddy. There's a lot going on in the album, but the production lets you catch every bit of it. Yes...the production on Come to Daddy is among the best you'll ever hear in any genre and is just about perfect. The originality and production makes Come to Daddy worthwhile and, along with the Richard D. James album and Selected Ambient Works: 85-92, among Aphex Twin's best albums.

It's ok
It's an okay track, I prefer the more ambient works. Listen to the previews first before buying. Music in this track's a bit weird.

Film Placement - Just a Thought
As others have already covered the 'Come To Daddy' EP far more thoroughly & eloquently than I could, I suggest reading those reviews for deeper insight into the tracks & Aphex Twin. I would just like to suggest what I feel could be an ideal use of the 'Little Lord Fauntleroy' mix (my personal favorite) in a film. I'm fairly certain most have seen "The Silence of the Lambs" at this point. In the famous segment depicting Buffalo Bill applying makeup & filming himself as a 'woman', which is intercut with Catherine luring his dog Precious into the hole where she's being held captive, "Goodbye Horses" is played throughout the scene. Now, I love this song & think it's used to great effect in the film. However, if I had the technological know-how, I would love to replace it with the 'Little Lord Fauntleroy' mix of CTD to test my theory that it too would work perfectly in the scene. (At this point I want to make absolutely clear that I am NOT questioning Demme's song choice; SOTL was released several years before CTD, so it's a moot point anyway.) The repetition of the lyrics, "Oh you dirty little boy" in a child's voice coupled with the very deep, distorted male voice singing, "Watching the water flow past in the canal/looking at the swans & hearing the birds singing" seem practically made for the scene: the underlying confusion & inner turmoil Bill has about his own sexuality (he's a "dirty little boy", if you will); the lyric can also be heard as an admonishment for what he has already done to the other women & is in the process of doing to Catherine. The contrast between Bill's low voice & the feminine persona he's attempting to create are absolutely chilling in the way they mirror the child vs. male voices in the song. Bill also disposes of his victims by putting them in various bodies of water, & toward the end of the film we see that he lives across the street from the lake in which he put his first victim. This also syncs up in a very creepy way with the "watching the water flow past in the canal" lyric. Finally, this song is just plain unsettling & would add to the sinister feel of the scene. My 2 cents =)
