I got this chair for my 91 year old mother who still lives alone independently and can still get around. She has Afib and gets out of breath and can't walk for long periods of time. She absolutely loves this cane/chair! It's light weight, and can be opened or closed with one hand. Has handles to help with sitting down and getting up, and the back support is great! She only weighs 120 lbs so the large was fine for her. I sat in it (I'm closer to 200 lbs) and although I could sit in it, when I used the handles to get up I could feel it bend a little so I would suggest getting the larger one. I would highly suggest this chair.

I bought this a month ago to help avoid back pain from standing in lines- and it has worked! It is lightweight, sturdy and comfortable for 220 pounds. I used it on a 12-day trip where I had to stand in airport security lines and other lines. It easily passed security tests and was allowed on airplanes as an assistive device. On airplanes it easily fit into overhead bins. I can’t comment on its value for longer-term or heavier usage but for 220 pound usage over a month it’s been great!

I've tried quite a few canes and cane/seat combinations. This one is far and away the best for me. VERY lightweight. I use it folded as a cane while walking - hiking over trails. With a fairly large video camera rig on my right shoulder with two handles resting on my chest, a field view screen on the side of the camera and two large batteries hanging from the rear, I'm already carrying about 18 pounds and without any type of cane I've slipped down more creek sides than I care to think about. Thick patches of briars can trip me up too, so I've found I really, really need a cane when hiking.If I need to stop suddenly I can. This cane/chair will stand on its own. I don't have to lay it down, making wide movements that can scare birds or animals. I can also fold it out with one foot as shown in the descriptive video. Works. EASY to do.When I came upon a Major Wheeler (red flowers) honeysuckle vine that was covered with hummingbirds I opened the chair with my toe, sat down, and was able to hold the camera braced on my lap for stability and get footage without shake. Even if I don't sit, I can hold the handles with one hand and brace against the cane/chair for more stability.I weigh about 150 lbs, 5ft 8. When sitting I am nowhere near the back rest. I have enough room that I can move both arms to make any camera adjustments I need to. The back rest might as well not be there. If I leaned back enough to touch the back rest I expect the whole chair would go over backwards. No doubt really heavy people would touch the back rest but I personally wouldn't lean on it. I'm really sorry to see that some people have had theirs break... but if mine did I would order another ASAP. It's made all the difference in my video quality.

Für unterwegs ! Ich kann nicht lange stehen der Sessel,ist eine Super Gehilfe! Bin begeistert!Ich habe schon den 2. bestellt, aber einen immer im Auto für Unterwegs. Er ist leicht auch im Zug mitzunehmen,Einzige Schwachstelle die Gummischutzfüsse sind schnell kaputt und muß man durch neuen Schutz ersetzen!
