As an older age (age60) endurance athlete: Ironman, Mountain Ultra runs, I recently discovered salt tablets. It’s an amazing performance enhancer. I wish I’d discovered this product years ago. I'm a marathon runner and these are my go-to for long runs and races, especially in the summer heat and humidity! I can really tell a difference in my performance on hot days when I take these during my runs - these literally give me life!

While I'm very active, I love my long runs and hikes, and my heart rate goes crazy high, I barely sweat even in summer; so I never felt the need of electrolytes. But I was advised by a trainer to try to use electrolytes nonetheless, since the strenuous effort still affects my body.I took one capsule of the GU Roctane Electrolyte before regular training (HIIT, crossfit, strength training), and one capsule before and one after for hikes and 10km runs. I noticed some small effects on recovery and muscle cramps, but nothing too impressive; but I'm also due diligent with my recovery stretching.As a supplement, I like the addition of vitamin D, vitamin B6 and magnesium, great for an active female like me. The values for a single capsule are quite low, still.The biggest results I got with these capsules are with nausea and gastric/stomach distress. No matter if I train/run/hike faster or after a meal, I tend to have an upset stomach sometimes. The ginger helps a lot.The capsules are normal size, they're easy to swallow for me.

It works perfectly! No more debilitating headaches after running that can last into the next day. I used to go for an easy 6 mile run or so and come back feeling fine, only to have an terrible headache and feel exhausted an hour after my run, I would lay in a dark quite cool room, pounding the Gatorade and vitamins waiting for the headache to go away. Some times I would go for a morning run while it's nice and cool out (40-60 F) and then have a headache that lasted hours, some times 5 some times more than 24 hours later I would still feel too weak to do anything. NO MORE! I pop one of these after my runs and I feel fine all day! It's great I will be buying lots more of this product as I use up my supply! Thank you GU Energy Labs! This product saved me!
