I received this free via the Amazon Vine. Unlike most reviewers I do not lie and I am honest. I don’t do this to get free products I do it to serve other customers.I will open with this, this monitor is terrible.I currently have a REOLINK camera in my sons room which outputs around 2k resolution and works via wifi and my phone app. It cost me £65.That camera can rotate, access from your phone and you can put an SD card within to capture any motion. This product is as follows1. The camera quality is atrocious. Imagine a webcam from about 10 years ago and you will be on the right track. Not only is the camera quality terrible the viewing angle is so zoomed in all you can see is the cot. That’s great but if like me your child moves around the room like my 18 month old does you can’t check on them.2. The lcd display is i would say like sub 240p. Again terrible quality. So much bleeding around the display. The touchscreen it uses again is shocking.3. I have not used the movement pad as myson is 18 months old however it seems very cheap. All in all this is a £250 baby camera. If I had paid £40 I would say ok fair enough but for £250they are having a laugh. As a consumer this tech is about 10 years old.Save yourself money and get a decent £70 wifi enabled camera with night mode and a SD card a lot like REOLINK and put the money elsewhere. If anything these baby movement pads are just another stress you don’t want when it starts going off by accident at night and scaring you.

Sensor pads constantly false alarm - Don’t buy if you want a full nights sleep!!
I would urge any soon to be parents NOT to buy this item. I have never left an amazon review before despite ordering items weekly, but feel compelled to prevent other parents going through what we have. We have twins and bought this unit alongside the add on sensor and camera unit (at great expense) so both babies would have a camera and sensor pad but we’d split screen so only 1 monitor required. Whilst the cameras and monitor are great, the sensor pads are utterly useless. We have tried EVERYTHING recommended on the angelcare website, yet the sensors still go off anywhere between 5-10 times a night (and when our 8m old babies are now sleeping through this is infuriating!). We have placed mdf boards under sensor, done the “4 corner test”, increased the sensitivity to max, and even bought different mattresses - nothing works. AC website states sensors not compatible with memory foam or dual sided mattresses. Our first mattresses were pocket sprung (no memory foam - and recommended as compatible), still false alarms, our second mattresses were standard hypoallergenic mattresses (again recommend as compatible) still constant false alarms. Don’t waste your money, they’ve went off so many times now that if anything was wrong with one of our babies I think we’d just assume it was another false alarm. Just awful and not fit for purpose.

Underwhelming and poor screen
The screen resolution really is very poor. Imagine that mobile phone you have 10-15 years ago, trust me the screen was better.Seems an ok build, certainly not a few pennies job, probably at least a few quid. However the charging leads do feel like the ones you get with knock off replacement chargers, again I’m thinking of that phone I had 15 years ago when I got a second charger from that slightly dodgy shop that sold all the cheap replacement colourful snap on covers. I’ve got a box in the loft full of leads like this, it’s the type you worry will snap or stop working after a month or so.....But it does seem to work, I wouldnt say it’s satisfying or something you’d recommend, certainly on a par with a £30 random Chinese brand one. But then at £30 you’d probably consider this to be a reasonably good purchase.Overall I’d say they are doing very well with this item, the profit margins must be huge, Nokia are probably wondering where they went wrong given that angel care are still able to get away with selling peak 2006 technology at 2021 prices!!I only hope the pad is reliable, they are giving themselves quite a responsibility, just hope the look and feel of their product is deceptive and that it can perform its very important task without fault. If it’s still going strong in 6 months I will update and up the stars, I think that is fair.

A disappointing but desperate buy
Really disappointed with this device. Been using for a few weeks since baby moved into her own room and I’m convinced the picture quality is getting worse!! Have to turn the camera off/on, same with monitor unit to “reset” at least once a day. The magnet mount is shocking. So hard to find a decent position so ended up buying a spherical mount from Arlo to put on the wall to give more flexibility to position of the camera. In order to get a decent full view of the cot we’ve had to place high on a wall, but then access to the movement “pause” is impossible, so have to faff with the monitor unit to pause or turn off movement when you need to tend to baby (which is a nightmare in the middle of the night when half asleep!). Overall, very disappointing for the money.

Good night view, no parent clip
Bought this product way before my little one arrived and had a few teething issues with not being able to get the camera to view in the cot and the camera losing signal regularly to the parent unit even though they were beside each other. After purchasing a mount to help attach it to the cot we got a good view and the night view was good, allowing us peace of mind while he slept. However, 2 1/2 weeks after he was born we dropped and smashed the parent unit. Unlike our previous monitor with baby number 1 it doesn’t come with a clip so it’s not as easy to walk around the house while listening to the baby. Currently reviewing whether or not to purchase another or go for a more basic model which we can move around with easier.
