Very hot
I’ve been using these bulbs to light my hermit crab tank (AKA my “crabitat”) for years now. They’re great for keeping the tank warm and giving off enough light to see inside. However, they are VERY hot. Be careful not to leave anything too close to them since it WILL melt plastics! I use a dimmer on mine to keep it from making the tank too hot.
