Klean Kanteen 40oz Kanteen Classic (w/Loop Cap) Brushed Stainless

My husband and I own a few of these in different sizes. It's easy to use, carries a ton of water, is very resistant to damage and looks really nice. We both get compliments on our Klean Kanteen bottles. One of the three we own went missing and was have been sad without it. Having a variety of sizes as been wonderful and I am glad this company offer them. I love the twist top as it makes this bottle leak proof/resistant and also make it easy to chug water or dump it on ourselves with ease. It's become a stable in making sure we stay well hydrated at work, the gym or on the go.

I bought this for work mainly, wanting to get away from plastic due to chemicals in the plastics and what they do to our endocrine systems. I love this Kanteen and have been using for about 3 months. I went ahead and bought the stainless top in exchange for the one that comes with the canteen. So all stainless and no plastic anywhere. The top works well too but you need to keep it up right or it will leak some times. Need to make sure its tight. Never tried the top that came with it so can't speak for that. The stainless top that I bought to go with this has a nice loop to put your finger in to carry.This is not insulated but if you drop a few ice cubes in before you head out it will stay cool for several hours indoors at work. I would definitely recommend this product and would like to get another sometime.

First off, id like to point out the shipping for this METAL, DENT-ABLE product. The one any only time i would think something would be in a protected cardboard box would be to ship something that can be dented fairly easily. Nope, i got this in a grey, thin plastic envelope. And yes. there was a dent on it. SMH. Second, there is a STRONG odor coming from the plastic top. Strong enough to actually make the water taste like it smells. I washed the top 3 times and still has an odor to it. BUT other than those two issues, its a nice, big canteen for water. lol

I've been a satisfied customer of Kleen Kanteen for a couple of decades now. I started out simple – a couple 27 oz. bottles that I bought so I could get out of the cycle of using clear plastic water bottlesI've been “making” fresh drinking water (in a Brita pitcher) for even longer than that but until that point I was using small clear plastic bottles to store each pitcher of water in. I would use them a few times, until they began to get 'cloudy' inside and then I would throw them away. Along about that time, a lot of folks started complaining about how wasteful it was to dispose of plastic bottles and since that made sense to me, I invested in a couple of stainless bottles to see if that worked better for me. Flash forward a few months and the experiment was working so well I doubled down and bought two more. Now, with four 27 oz. classic bottles to work from, I always had plenty of cold clean water in the fridge and was no longer polluting the environment with used plastic!Flash forward a couple months more and I was so happy with the product that I added a 27 oz. Bottle to keep on my desk at work and a shorty 18 oz. to carry with me in the car. Around that time I also added a couple 40 oz. bottles for “long term” storage in the fridge.Time went by (as it does) and I finally added a 2nd 18 oz. Bottle to replace the 1st one that I had dropped and damaged. Then, most recently, I picked up a 20 oz. wide mouth insulated bottle for drinking iced beverages during the Summer. I point all this out so you can see I am anything but a casual customer of Kleen Kanteen. I have been very happy with their product quality and consistency all along and have continued to purchase their product any time I needed something.And while I'm on the subjet, let me say a few words about the customer service at the company itself...A couple weeks ago I had occasion to visit their website regarding a minor problem I was having. (I needed some replacement parts for some of the more well used bottles in my collection) I was unable to resolve the problem on my own so I dropped a quick email to their service dept.Imagine my surprise when I received a response within an hour and the customer service rep had laid everything out for me in a clear and concise manner. With his help I was quickly able to order the correct parts which were then delivered less than a week later!The bottom line here is that not only do they produce a consistently outstanding product, in my experience, they back that up with stellar customer service.Would I order from Kleen Kanteen again... as a matter of fact, I already have! Yet another new bottle is on its way from Amazon as I type this (I needed to replace a large Nalgene plastic bottle which had developed that black mold they get...YUCK!) and my new Kleen Kanteen 40 oz classic should arrive here today!

Awesome bottle. Has a wide mouth which i love since its easy to see inside. There is a slight metallic taste/smell but honestly i have not done any studies on it nor have i written a thesis or done any type of magnetic or other experiments on this bottle.So i like it, keeps my water cool, its very clean. I bough the aluminum finish one which has no paint. have used it for over 6 months now and there is only one dent on the base which is not visible.

A very good alternative to plastic water bottles. There is not a lingering aftertaste. And the product seems very sturdy. There isn't a liner and the bottle is not insulated which is what I was looking for in a more sustainable bottle. I also purchased the stainless steel bamboo screw top lid to replace the plastic one only because I am planning to attach it to my pack for backpacking and I wanted something metal. For everyday use the plastic one would be just fine and it has a seal to prevent leaks. All in all a good purchase.
