Amazing - ordered these because my Zencix's 'mysteriously' went blunt after only 6 months use and needed a replacement while they were being sharpened - and also because I always need extra scissors."Mysteriously" means someone (Partner/teenager) in my household where my studio is located picked them up and either used them for paper or dropped them. As of yet no one has owned up to this.....These tailoring shears are awesome - I have been breaking them in with softer fabrics, ready for sample denim cutting. They are super super sharp and very smooth. Just beautiful to cut along the pattern/marker lines of my samples etc.I have been in the fashion industry for 11 years and these are far far superior to the Kretzer sissors that were touted as 'industry standards' by the tutors at tech and the wholesale suppliers. My Kretzers incidentally fell apart after 4 months, the handle fell off. While these sissors are heavier than both Zencix and Kretzer they are still able to be used all day without too much pain. They are more comfortable than my grandmas old heavy singer shears I inherited - and they are bigger by two inches.I am recommending these to all my outworkers and other acquaintances in my industry.

The best scissors for cutting fabric, fibers, and textiles!
A friend of mine who works in fashion recommended these to me as they were what she used in school. She bought them for $80 so the price on Amazon feels like a great deal! I used to use the best hardware scissors I could find at the local hardware store but those had ridges along the edges and these ARS tailoring shears just cut like a dream. They are very sharp and won't need sharpening for a really long time. Just make sure never to cut paper or other materials like wire with them! Be good to them and they will last a lifetime!

I cut apart wedding gowns, prom dresses and formals to make gowns for Angel Babies (little ones who do not make it). I have arthritic hands and good scissors are a must to cut the gowns and to then accurately cut the tiny Angel Gowns. These scissors are heavy, but the weight is balanced and the shears are sharp to the point. These shears are excellent, even with my arthritic hands. The price at Amazon was the best anywhere. I searched extensively before I thought to check Amazon. So glad I did.

Not as sharp
Not super sharp but work. will need to get them sharpened. They are also uncomfortable for me to use as the handle part is to big for my hand and it’s a lot of work to hold them steady. I like that you can tighten them.

Love these scissors
Love these scissors. Have another pair that just needs to be sharpened because I use them so much....Wanted a second pair of the exact scissors on hand. These were an excellent buy.

These scissors are awesome. The incredible workmanship is hard to beat
These scissors are awesome. The incredible workmanship is hard to beat. One of my coworkers said she never had to sharpen these scissors and they were passed down to her from another coworker. The hype is real. I've gone through a lot of tailoring shears and these have become my favorite. I'm surprised these aren't more well known.

Great professional scissors!
These are great cuts through lingerie fabric like butter. I do not recommend for those who have arthritis in their hands.
