Lovely hamster cage
Lovely made hamster cage, however, my only problem is the bottom is wood and this will rot very easily with their wee, not got my dwarf hamster in it yet but sure she will love it, had to separate her and her sis as they started fighting, beautiful cage made of wood but had a few sharp bits on it that I had to sand as was scared my little hammy got hurt. Have to put a bit of another material in the bottom or it wont last long even with cleaning every day, you know how it is with lovely hamsters! My friend put the cage together and struggled a bit with instructions but I am very pleased with it and the price was great too.

Poor quality, waste of money
A one star review is generous. This is poorly made, the wood is flimsy and will split when you use the screws they provide. The screws are poor and round off. The handle, even with the washers is wobbly. The instructions are poor, I'm good at diy this is just awful. The Amazon employee was kind but he was only able to offer me a refund of £7.80 which is terrible considering I paid £32. I am really disappointed and will have to buy another cage now. Literally a waste of money.

Purchased as a hamster play zone
We have a hamster cage but bought this one as a playtime cage while we clean her main enclosure. It’s not her permanent home because, being made of wood, she tends to try to chew her way out if left in it for too long. I read a review about a hamster escaping after biting a hole, which made me cautious. Additionally, I believe it’s too small for a Syrian hamster to live in permanently. One of the reasons we chose this cage is that it fits nicely on our alcove shelving, allowing us to have a play cage downstairs while her main cage is upstairs. However, there’s a design flaw: the sawdust easily escapes through a tiny gap at the base, which isn’t ideal since hamsters love to burrow. The instructions are pretty poor, so you have to figure things out by looking at the pictures. There are no pre-drilled holes for the screws, which makes assembly tricky. Also, the platforms seem too far apart for my Syrian hamster to navigate. She hesitates and sometimes falls, so I’ll need to adapt it for her safety. On the plus side, since it’s wooden, it will be easy to screw additional supports into the walls.

I dunno why all these people in the reviews say it’s bad because it’s so easy to put together and when your paying £37 of corse it’s not gonna be made out of gold, I’m a 16 year old girl and I put it together without any problems and it looks great it’s funny seeing all the bad reviews because half of them are mainly because the person didn’t put it together properly so that’s on them.

Not to bad
Not to bad only problem is water bottle holder is to small mine didn't fit and also my hamster damaged his nose on the wire mesh so I have put him in his old cage until I find a replacement for the mesh.

Don't buy if you want to sleep again...
I had hamsters all the time growing up but never in a wooden cage. Looking around online, they seemed to be in vogue and seemed more attractive than the traditional plastic or bars, so I gave this a try. Big mistake. The cage looks good with the clear panels on the front and the hamster seems to like the platforms. However, she also liked to chew... And chew... And chew... And chew on the multiple bits of wood easily accessible on the inside, and even on the mesh at the top, which is easily reachable from the platforms. This is in spite of providing every alternative chewing material I could think of, and using a pet safe bitter spray on the wood to try to discourage, as well as providing a wheel which she now seems to have abandoned in favour of the constant chewing. The cage does not feel overly sturdy and to be honest it only feels like a matter of time before it is damaged to where it will need to be replaced anyway. In hindsight, buying a cage made from a material the animal inside is known to love chewing on is probably just a bad idea. You wouldn't buy a dog crate made from dog chews. In addition to the chewing, I didn't anticipate just how noisy and echoey everything is inside what is basically a hollow wooden box, particularly when you then put inside wooden accessories which the hamster is moving and clunking about against the inside of the cage.I have now had to pay out again for an acrylic cage, as I would like to sleep again at some point. Having to work full time when you have had virtually no sleep and have been listening to constant rattling and chewing for 8 hours straight is no joke, and the cage is bulky enough that if you live in a small house, there isn't necessarily just a space somewhere else it can be relocated.I ignored the reviews here saying the cage was a bit flimsy, as I figured for the price I wouldn't mind replacing it at some point. But unless you don't mind replacing and also are not going to be bothered by constant noise, I would stay away from this product.

Great escape for hamsters … freedom!
Omg don’t even bother with this one. The part numbers don’t match up to the instructions and then when you finally figure out which part is which the instructions are completely useless and don’t make sense. The cage has more gaps that than a jokes one liners and more holes than Swiss cheese, just perfect for letting my little hamster escape and then get eaten by the cat!!!The wood is poor quality and it was a great pleasure getting a splinter whilst attempting to build it!! Only positive is that it fitted back into the box nice and easily so I could return.
