I like pole lamps because they have a small footprint and can be placed almost anywhere.These lamps have a very heavy base and they go together very easily.Some people think they are plastic, that is not true.They are beautiful and 1/2 the price of a very similar one I bought at a local furniture store.I would buy again if I needed more of them.

Bought this to match My table lamps that have the same shade . But this does have a few flaws .!st off the shade is a little small for a floor lamp then i got curious so I took off the shade from the table lamp that I bought that has the exact matching shade and it is the exact shade . In other words the shade that they sell for the table lamps and the floor lamp are the exactly the same . While this works for a table lamp it is just too small a diameter for a floor lamp .Next issue , as You can see the bulbe stick out for the shade because the shade it mounted too tall but I found a work around for that issue , I replaced the the threaded rod on the top of the lamp with a shorter threaded rod effectively lowering the shade . Search amazon for "Creative Hobbies ELY1097 " cost me like 8 bucks for a pack of 10 pieces that not only allowed me to lower the shade on my floor lamp , but also both my table lamps . I will say this that if You elect to do this mod then move to some LED bulbs as regular bulbs will run hot and be too close to the inside of the shade which is why I suspect that they had the shades sitting so high . Regular incandescent bulbs would run produce too much heat being that close to the shade .The lamp base is solid , well made and a nice shade of gold , but I elected to paint it to match my other lamp bases and wrought iron furniture legs . Used Rustolum professional semi gloss black enamel with no primer , turned out fantastic and much better IMO then the gold but that is subjective .So IMO to make this a 5 star lamp they should have included a 75 cent part that lowers the shade and the shade needs to be larger in diameter . Also dump the included incandescent bulbs and include some LED bulbs with warnings not to use these style of bulbs . Who uses these old style bulbs these days anyway ??

Very attractive lamp. Nice, heavy base.

This sure is beautiful. Unfortunately, I wanted to put it on carpet, and the glass shade made it tippy because the base is not wide enough to keep it stable. So, I put a 25 pound weight on top of the base and that worked. Know that going into a purchase like this, you might have to place it on hard floors and not carpet.🥴

I really like the warm light this lamp emits. Bright, yet not harsh. The only surprise for me is the height. It's taller than my other two floor lamps and this works for me.If you want a lamp shorter and maybe closer to the top of your furniture, you might want to check the specs on this lamp and get an idea if it will work for you.Good purchase!
