This is the first time I was buying an air hose for the air compressor (I had bought one for other uses), so I ended up ordering three different lengths to see which would fit my needs best. 50 footer was supposed to be my best bet based on my needs. What I did not anticipate was that the 50-footer for this model was going to be a completely different hose from the 25 and 100 footers. In the attached picture, the top is the 100, middle 50, and the bottom 25. The middle was was not only different in color (darker shade of yellow) but in close inspection, heavier and less flexible. The 50 footer tangled and did not have the "lay flat" quality like the other two lengths. While the 25 footer and the 100 footer were pretty close in quality, the 100 footer was slightly more free of memory and overall easier to deal with! I ended up ordering several Flexzilla reusable 3/8" barb fittings 1/4" npt ends to cut the 100 footer hose which was a great deal at $40. I have Flexzilla hose as well, and this one seems to be very similar in quality and feel. To be sure, I even ordered a second 50 footer from Amazon and the same stiffer and darker hose came. Mind you, all four of these shipments came straight from Amazon, sold by Amazon. In short, Amflo seems to be using a different batch or altogether different material for their 50' model for some reason whereas the 25' and 100' models are both excellent and basically what you see in the description photos. Nice hose at this price point. It lays flat and does not kink. I didn't pay any more for it than some of my PVC hoses.

I bought this to go use with my Craftsman 6 gal. Pancake Portable Air Compressor (150 psi 0.8 hp). I know, nothing special, but the hose works and attached to a Harbor Fright framing nail gun it plows through nails without missing a beat, loosing air, or experiencing any losses in pressure. IT wanted something cheap but sturdy and, to date, I'm happy with my purchase.

soft not stiff. Hi visablity appears well made like hoses costing twice as much. Only negative It does not have a swivel fitting on either end makes it a bit more difficult to hook up if you have a hose reel. you may have to buy a swivel fitting separately.
