Handy addition to my café lock
Works a treat when I'm just parking the bike for a few mins when I pop into a shop or café.Wouldn't risk using as my main lock but it's not designed for that. This is good secure short term protection for your bike .

Ideal if you have an Abus frame lock
Good for short stops as it is quick to use with an Abus frame lock

Did its job within days of arrival.
I’ve got a brand new and expensive e-bike. It has a frame lock installed. I bought this chain because it can connect to the frame lock easily by plugging it in.The chain feels nice and sturdy and is the perfect length, but doesn’t take up a lot of space in my bike’s luggage. As others have said, you probably wouldn’t want to rely on this if you’re parking up for a long time in a bad place, but if you’re stopping for 5-10 minutes, it’s great.A couple of nights ago (my bike is less than a month old), I decided that I fancied a KFC on the way home from work. I ordered the food in their app with the intention of collecting it and taking it home to eat.I parked up outside and locked my bike to some bike loops at the side of the shop using the frame lock and this chain. When I returned, I found my bike lying in a heap on the ground. On closer inspection, I discovered that someone had attacked the lock quite violently in what I can only describe as a frenzied attack. They’d damaged the casing of the frame lock itself and as that hadn’t worked, they’d tried to rip the chain out. That didn’t work. They had then tried to kick the lock off the frame and had managed to snap one of the mounts out of the frame but the other one had held firm. It wasn’t the lock or the chain that broke. It was the thread in the frame itself, such was the ferocity of the attack.Anyway in conclusion, thanks to the lock and chain, I still have my bike. I was able to fix the plastic cover for the lock as the actual lock itself is still secure. My local bike shop remade the mounting for me and I’ve got paint arriving to touch up the frame where the thieves had scratched it up.I don’t think the lock and chain were really designed to be attacked in this way. They’re more of an opportunist deterrent than made to actually stand up to a sustained attack, however they really did protect my new bike.Next time, I’ll park up in a better location and use more really visible locks so that a thief walks past rather than tries his luck, but I cannot recommend this chain and the lock it connects to enough.Without them, my bike would be long gone.

Fits the wheel lock on Riese and Muller
Great to be able to click it into the existing wheel lock on my Riese and Muller e-bike.

Extension to bike lock
Easy to use and allows the 'built-in' bike lock to extend around an immovable object.

Strong, Quality and security
No need to present you Abus its synonym of quality, strong and security. Nice chain to secure your bike and very strong.

It's okay but...
The idea behind this is great, and functionally it's superb. The cloth on mine tore and exposed the metal chain, so I returned it for the 8mm version, whis is far superior. The 6mm feels like it could be cut through quickly and easily. 8mm would take allot more effort. It's a great secondary or short stop lock for the cargo bike.

Misleading. Not a bike lock
This item is described as a bike lock.It isn't. It's just a chain.Very misleading.
