Probably the best drag radial I've ever owned
I've had a lot of fast and quick cars and used up a great deal of tires in various combinations. This R888R is in my personal opinion, the very best. The MT ET Street series was my previous best pick (in the last ten years or so) but had a flaw. MT tire seemed very good as well initially but seemed to rapidly heat cycle after heard use and begin to "peel" for lack of a better word and lose top notch grip. I have not yet noticed that with the Toyos. Another positive (to me) is that the look of the R888R is quite noticeable. I've had a number of people want to know what the heck tire is that simply because of its aggressive look. My experience with all of these tires and my comments are derived from primarily street usage, not prepped drag strips - so I cannot speak to drag performance. Though in my experience its easier for a tire to perform well at that the track compared to the street, as so much of the track environment is designed to help the tire perform at maximum, compared to the street which is often the luck of the draw. Compared to Goodrich, Goodyear, Nitto, M/T, and more.

Very good straight line traction.
I found these tires added a lot of traction on dry roads. And look great. Great at Hi speeds.

Expensive but worth it
They hook!

Rolling gobs of glue
My camaro is putting 730hp to the wheels. This is the first tire that I’ve tried (so far) that will actually hook up all the time every time. Unless of course of a water burnout. And even with a staggered config with Goodrich g-force comp-2 up front, it is still every bit as much still a track car not just straight line without changing the over or under steer either way. Pricey yes, but you get what you pay for I guess. Stay safe out there and keep it on the track NOT the street!
