No Day Shall Erase You: The Story of 9/11 as Told at the September 11 Museum

If you are at all interested in 9/11 or want to visit the 9/11 memorial and museum but cannot get there, then THIS is the book for you. We regretted not purchasing this book in the 9/11 gift shop during our September visit, so we ordered it when we arrived home. I'm so glad we did. This book is slightly oversized and full of stunning, large-scale photography. It is bursting at the brim with information, and not only that, but the book literally takes you on a tour around the entire museum and memorial with gorgeous photographs and very detailed information about each artifact and exhibit. I have never seen a museum book this well done.While the book is extremely heart-wrenching and could be triggering to some, it's very factual. The book describes the design and creation of the museum and memorial as well as the history of all of the terrorist attacks on 9/11 and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. We felt that the entire property had been constructed with so much respect for the victims and their families, and it was interesting to read how much research and consulting was actually done with victim families on how to most properly and tactfully honor those lost on this terrible day.I believe the museum/memorial is A MUST SEE in New York, and not only is this book the next best thing to being there in person, but it is a great complement to your visit as it gives even more information than you could gain in probably several visits. It reminds you of all of the incredible exhibits that you saw, concepts you thought about, and memories from 9/11 that you will never forget. If you're on the fence, I don't think this book could disappoint anyone.

I can only read a few pages at a time. It's still too emotional and raw for me. Didn't know anyone, but was deeply affected,as this is MY country. I owe it to all who perished/were murdered that day, to read every page and remember, I love the title.No Day Shall Erase You. I will probably never get to the museum, since I live far away in OR. That is why I bought the book.I see it on my coffee table every day, and I remember that day so clearly. I WILL read every page, but it is difficult, and willtake awhile. I think every American should own a copy of this book. God Bless you all.

The must have to remember 9/11

I'm impressed with the details, research, photography and interviews that went in to putting this book together. It's really a WOW, oh my gosh, how sad for families and loved ones - chronicle. Bless the recovery teams, the contractors and all who helped with removing the buildings for the site. It's a great book to share with children of appropriate age so they can understand how devastating this event was for our country and how it changed us forever. I have it on my sofa table.

Same as on-site, less expensive - good remembrance of the visitGood book on the tragic story of 9-11. Gives the murderers a bit of a pass, but beyond that it's a good book. We wanted a remembrance - and the Amazon source was considerably less expensive than the over-priced on-site gift shop (typically 'rip off' gift shop at end of visit/tour).

I wanted something to be able to look back on after my first visit to see the 9/11 Museum and this certainly fulfilled what I was looking for. There was so much to take in and I did not have enough time to really see and read everything on the visit. Back in the 1990's I worked down in the area and walked through the World Trade Center to get to work. It was a great tragedy, but this book is a tribute to all involved on that horrific day.

Perfect representation of the museum. Love it and I have loaned to co-workers. I should have purchased 2.

Gives us a little into the day that changed our world and information about the 9/11 Memorial. I recommend this book for people who want to know more about that day or just learn about the Memorial.
