Q: Does it hold up to washing? And what are the dimensions of this pad?

I have washed it several times with no problems. It holds up well. It is 32 x 72 and fits my standard table.

Q: Just double checking dimensions: listed above as 2.5 by 2.5 by 1.6 inches. This could not possibly be accurate - thanks

I have this fleece cover and it fits my 27 inch table just good. wouldn't be great for a bigger table as much.

Q: This is a purchase not a rental right? The only reason I ask is because it has an option for subscription and that just doesn't make sense to me.
