I ordered this thinking it was like a fabric one I had for hip replacement. This leg lifter is solid - can be bent to shape. My husband is day 2 after knee replacement and it’s amazing - far better than the fabric one for lifting his leg on and off support stool. Good value too.

When the product arrived it was folded up into sections ( for ease of postage, presumably.) It is very stiff metal and very hard to straighten out, so my initial thought that it was going straight back to the supplier for a refund ( if you don't have reasonable hand strength this could be a genuine problem so loses a "star" for ease of assembly )However.....once assembled the product is a God-send ! Following surgery I currently have a rock-like brace on my leg which weighs a ton and getting it onto a footstool or bed was a huge problem. With this device the brace becomes feather-weight.The product is invaluable and would definitely be 5 stars without the tricky assembly required

Husband has had a Total Knee Replacement and this has been the best thing ever for him.It gives him so much independence helping him position his leg into bed and onto the sofa. Helpful to get him home and into a wheelchair. Value for money, good quality, and outstanding for giving the patient independence. 5⭐️

Could be better designed for post replacement hip operation

I have recently had a total hip replacement and need assistance to put my leg into and out of bed. This product has been invaluable as i live alone. It has allowed me to be able to get up to bed easily etc. It doesnt look much. I wasnt sure itd even work properly because its light and bendy but its been perfect. It also folds down easily so is portable if you wanted to use it in different parts of the house. Ive already recommended to a friend whos about to have the same operation. I imagine itd be good for getting in and out of the car too but havent used for that yet.

Worse thing I ever bought it was absolutely useless

Although I haven’t used it yet, it looks and feels like it will be great

+Easy to use, lightweight and strong construction.- wire inside bends easily, foot strap a little small when shoes on, wire twists inside casingDoes the job but wouldn't want to use it long term, wire needs to be flat and wide rather than round from a comfort point.
