Q: Where is the coffee sourced from?

Our coffee is specialty-grade and ethically sourced primarily from a family farm in Thailand that employs former sex-trafficking victims. We also use coffees from Central America and South America to help round out the flavor profiles of each blend to create unique coffees. In addition, our Premium Single Origin line of coffees come from Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.

Q: What is difference between 2.5 and .5 oz packets? I see the .5 makes 8 to 12 oz of coffee, is the 2.5 for a pot?

Great question. In short, 0.5 oz packets are individually wrapped single-serve pour overs. Each order of this comes with 10 individually wrapped pour overs. The 2.5 oz is our Travel 5-Pack and contains 5 pour overs per bag. Each order of this comes with 6 Travel 5-Packs (30 pour overs total). I hope that helps!

Q: Is the packaging biodegradable or compostable?

I wouldn't think the outside wrapper is biodegradable but with modern materials it can be hard to tell. Its a made of a material for storage in a pack or container and rough treatment the coffee system inside is good and easy to use.

Q: Do you need to use hot water to brew these?

Yes - we recommend using water just below boiling (generally around 200°F) for the best-tasting cup of coffee. It takes roughly 2 minutes to brew a full cup! With our 5packs, you can brew cold brew by filling the bag with cold water and leaving it in the fridge overnight with the coffee filters. You'll end up with a delicious cold brew concentrate!
