Great fabric and product
Description indicated 100%cotton. It truly is, and extremely heavy and durable. I bought a size up as suggested and it fit a bit loose. I did wash and dry and the looseness is gone. I’m quite surprised with this pant. I’ll wear it out for fun with a white shirt so it looks good and snappy. I intend to buy the other two colors. I’m happy to find a button fly to make them unique. Good go Historical Emporium!

Great material, watch the stitching
The Materials used with these seem quite sturdy, the thread they stitched with however could have used some attention. I've had to repair the seams near the pockets a couple of times, and if I have to do it a third time I may use my waxed saddle thread. I've also had to repair a button hole after the thread broke free. In all fairness I am using them as work wear and I tend to put my work clothes through some pretty heavy wear, but I did expect them to hold up better. I have a second pair beside these Black ones I'm trying, they fit a little better, so far they seem to be better made. I normally wear a 34" waist, with these being 38 I thought I'd be ok, had to go with 42 before they fit right. So they're a bit tight. My walnut pants are 42. These Black ones look good, would probably be fine for a reenactor, but as work wear I'm on the fence.Edit: the walnut pair I ordered are holding up much much better. As previously stated I put my work wear through the ringer a bit. I've had them on a solid 8 days and no issues. Stains have come out very easily when I get some light weight surface stuff on with nothing more then a heavy duty tub of towels wipe. That's the only cleaning they've seen in those 8 days. I drive truck long haul and occasionally turn wrench's on them. I'm in and out of trailers or trucks all day and handling freight. Fruit of the loom cotton t shirts usually have holes in them in the first month, for reference. Usually run through type holes. I can't tell you why I've had to fix the black ones so much and not the walnut ones, but they're holding up well.

Truly a Frontier Marvel
I was needing some trousers to wear on the farm in hopes of bringing in the harvest before the cold. Thes fit perfectly when I opened them up and put them on. The material is strong and holds up to even the most careless of fence builders. With the assistance of the suspenders I also purchased, my britches stayed up all day long and were as comfortable as wearing nothing but my long johns. If you are looking to work in the field, attend a hoe down, or raise a barn, these are the beauties for you. Very pleased and will be ordering again.

Great for how I use them
I only use them for Cowboy Action, so not for work, but these hold up very well for my use.Follow the size guide.

Good product, sturdy and well-constructed
I work in traditional crafts - blacksmithing and carpentry - at a historical recreation facility, so the clothes I wear need to stand up to a bit of abuse. These pants work very well in this regard. The fit at waist, thigh, and calf is very good. The pants are intentionally shipped long with the expectation they will be shortened to fit. The fabric is sturdy. The stitching is even and tight. The buttons are good quality - better than the garment originally issued by the costume shop. The presence of real usable pockets is appreciated. It should be noted that as is historical they are meant to be worn with suspenders rather than a belt.

Good quality
Great quality suspenders, and pears nicely with their walnut working pantsBut unfortunately I'm almost too short for the suspenders (5'7). The Y in the back comes all the way up to my neck, and there's no way to adjust the back.Oh also, I ordered a size up (I'm normally 30, so I ordered a 32) and it ended up being too big, but no worries, the suspenders will hold them up just fine!

Good quality and fit as expected.
The pants rise to about my belly button, and they come long. You’ll need to hem them if you’re not well over six feet tall. That’s pretty normal with old-fashioned pants. The fabric is a heavy canvass, and I can really work in them. These aren’t just for costume. I’m fat, so I ordered a 56. The pants go around the widest part of my belly. There’s ample room in the legs snd crotch for me to bend over or squat. I wore a pair all weekend while carrying antique wooden furniture up the stairs into a new house, and I hardly noticed I was wearing them. I’ve yet to wear them while splitting firewood, but I’ve had a similar experience while carrying firewood. No issues with my range of movement. I don’t regret my purchase.

Great fit and material!
I love the material! It's nice and thick, and the color is exactly as in the photo. The pants length is very long but if you wear boots, you can roll them up and tuck them in. It fits the waist and hits perfectly. I'm 5'3 and 145lbs and I bought a 34 and it fits me perfectly on the waist and hips.
