At under five dollars, this is a great hat from Hair Coverings.I bought several inexpensive beanie hats from different vendors through Amazon and the four that I've received so far from the Florida Hat Company and Hair Coverings are all very good. They have a nice tight weave, so they are not slouchy beanies; they're beanies that look presentable. They are all nice, bright colors. Without any stretching, they each have a circumference of approximately 14 inches, which you can of course stretch to fit a normal size head.I'm a small female who lives in New York and similar type hats have been my hat of choice for years. Each of the hats that I describe below have a good weave that is adequate enough to keep me warm in temperatures below fifty degrees; I don't find them suffocating hot in moderate temperatures and they keep me comfortable in thirty degree weather. I'm not foolish enough to stay out too long in temperatures lower than that; my lower earlobes may get a bit cold, but it's not bad.From Hair Coverings, I bought two hats that were labeled royal blue, but in truth one is closer to teal in color and is more inexpensive. The royal blue, which is the onedescribed here, is the best of the four hats in terms of the quality of the acrylic yarn and the weave. It has no pills. The length is 12 ¾ inches. The teal hat is also good, but the quality of the yarn isn't as flawless as the royal blue; it's a little pilly, since the thread looks a bit uneven. It's still a good hat, however. Its length is 11 ½ inches.From the Florida Hat Co., I received the hunter's orange hats that come as a pair. These have a slightly looser weave, but it's so minor that it's barely noticeable. The yarn is good, no pills. Its length is 11 ½ inches.If anyone reading this is from the Highridge area of Yonkers and is familiar with the 99 cent store near Pathmark that sold similar beanies, you'll have a better reference as to the quality of these hats. Each of the hats I bought on-line are within the four to five dollar range; I purposely chose those low prices because I was looking for a hat that's similar to the hats I used to purchase in Yonkers, which had a nice weave, weren't too hot, and have held up well in the wash for years. Well, the on-line hats meet all those qualities and are a bit larger with a slightly tighter weave. For me, they're excellent, and I'm glad that I was able to find pretty, bright colors that offer some degree of visibility when I'm crossing the street.

Tough call here. It came today...quicker than I expected. Excellent cap, very comfortable, perfect fit, well, well made. And the price was really, really low. Did I mention the quality was top quality.Then there is this: I ordered maroon. The hat is red. It exactly matches the color of their advertised red cap. Still: It is a very nice looking cap. I'm wearing it now...very well fitting and comfortable. I'll wear it in public, no problem.I wish they'ed sent me the maroon one though. I'd purchase a couple more if I didn't think that color was a gamble. But, 5 stars anyway.--Just out of curiosity, I just ordered a black beanie from this seller. Two and a half bucks is worth the experiment. I wonder if it will be the same high quality as the red (should of been maroon) beanie. Black! I'm hoping for black. That's black.

It's as you'd expect: a basic beanie. I bought it because I recently moved to an area where the weather is a lot colder than FL in the winter and needed to stock up on winter gear. I'm happy with the purchase, especially for the low cost. It's a basic beanie with no frills but that was what I was looking for. The only minor complaint is that the stitching on the top is a little uneven. On one side, it appears right in the center, but on the other side, it's a little skewed to the side. This is an obvious manufacture issue and no big deal at all. who looks at the stitching and says "hey it's a little off" anyway? Product arrived super fast and in new condition, like you'd expect. I'm very pleased with this an will be purchasing a couple more in different colors when I have some extra spending money. For the price, and low shipping, it's totally worth it. You can't go wrong with a basic beanie under $4!

It's plenty long as advertised. I have a larger head than normal and it fits great. Color is good. The only negative is that it is a bit thinner than I thought it should be. Some of the other reviewers spoke to this point. The morning after I received the hat I got to wear the hat in mid 20 degree weather, it held up okay. The next morning it was in the upper 30's, perfect performance in my taste. I would NOT recommend this hat for really cold temperatures those below the 20's. Also, depending on the color the price varies. I have no regrets and would recommend this hat to others.

I don't like cold ears or forehead, so I've been wearing homemade and store beanies for years. I have a large head (hat size 7 1/2), and this beanie indeed has (barely) enough length to fold it back over my ears. It has to stretch somewhat tightly around my head - wish it was a tad bigger in diameter - but it is OK. I've tried a number of different store-bought beanies/caps over the years, and this one is the largest I've found so far, and a great price.

I ordered two of these black beanies for a DIY gift to Prodigy from MINDLESS BEHAVIOR. I studded and designed on them with fabric paint because I really wanted them to be dope and I really wanted Prodigy to like them. So while studding it the edges kind of stretched out of place which I didnt like and while designing with the fabric paint the fabric fibers kept raising up but that was expected. Overall the product is worth buying but not so much for extreme DIY

I bought this not noticing it was a different listing than another beanie I had previously ordered. But When it arrived it was a little darker than I had expected but it was perfect. This hat is so soft unlike most beanies that are really stiff and rough. It also fit my head perfectly. Overall I'm very happy for only having spent a little over $3 on this. I'll be wearing it all winter long!!

Pretty much what I expected. It's a perfectly fine basic knit cap, decent weight and thickness; no real complaints, especially for the price. Shipped faster than expected. The color is not quite a true light blue -- a bit more purple/periwinkle than "sky blue," which is a bummer. Also shorter than expected for a "long" beanie, but I have a small head so it fits me just fine.

When I saw the inexpensive price I was a little worried about the quality I could expect but since the price was so inexpensive I thought it was worth the risk, I was right ! It arrived quickly, and the quality was great! Would definitely buy again.
