Yucel Y9-12

This was fitted into my APC UPS battery backup model APC Back UPS ES550 - which had a 7aH APC battery but this Yucel (same as Yuasa) fitted and works perfrectly. The spade connectors are a little narrower but still safely fitted.

This battery has extended capacity compared to the standard 7Ah, so if you're using it for your UPS like 500VA/7Ah, your backup time will get extended. Works well for my APC UPS. Unlike other batteries on the market, Yucel comes from a well known brand Yuasa. My last Yuasa battery lasted for 5 years, which is about the same as the original APC RBC2.Note the terminals are slightly smaller compared to the RBC2 and Yuasa batteries, like NP7-12L ("L" stands wider terminals, ~6mm). I've chosen it for the extended battery life. The discharge specs on the Yucel Y9-12 fits my UPS perfectly well.

My UPS stopped working, after 5 years. The batteries were gone (8V and 10V reading on them).Bought a couple of these ones. I was very happy as they've arrived sooner than expected.It looks like it's a 50g weight difference between them. I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but the heavier one was reading higher voltage than the other one, as you can see in the pictures.I don't know yet for how long they will work. I might come back with an update if they will fail sooner than expected.So far they fitted well and my UPS is resurrected now.I'm still interested in why is that weight difference?!

delivered quickly, battery appears to be ok. installed in ups and appears to function. 4 stars only because there has been no real test of its capacity to deliver and recover from a backup/powerdown. If it maintains its capacity or fails to thrive over the coming year then I'll review the review.
