Not sure
I purchased this thinking I could use it on a plumbing project I had going at a rental property. I had my cousin, who is a plumber helping me with the work. I brought this along thinking he would have experience with something like this. He said he had never used one and wasn't sure it was really meant for working with PVC pipes we use here in the U.S. It didn't seem to fit any of the pipe we were working with that day. Maybe there's other pipe/other projects it works with, I'm not sure. Seems like it's made nice and probably works well if it works for your application.

It really works
I was surprised how well this plastic pipes welder works. I used it on PVC and so far it looks pretty good

Works for my needs
This kit contains a plastic tube cutter and a compact plastic tube welder for fluxing. Heat the plastic is not fast as commercial ones but enough for home projects like fixing tube leak or add a short line. Pretty useful for a homeowner or small business owner.Customer image

DOA -- Dead on arrival
DOA -- Dead on arrival. We bought brand new batteries and a charger just to use this item, and it doesn't even turn on. No blinky lights, no nothing.Bummer.

Maybe not for imperial PVC
The media could not be loaded. Doesn't seem like the included dies are sized right for any of the inch-sized PVC pipes that I had on hand. And frankly I'm not sure it's actually meant for welding PVC? At the default temperature the pipe material was smoking a bit which does not seem good w/chlorine-based plastics. After my own attempts I went to search a second time for videos and found someone using something like this on PPR fittings, so a different plastic and not pipe-to-pipe but pipe-to-coupler.But it did work as far as the equipment itself goes. I don't think there's a motor (?!) in it like the one of the pictures show but I'll pretend to just not see that as far as listing accuracy goes 🙈Turning it on did take a longer button hold than the sticker said (more like 5+ seconds instead of 3…) and turning it off did take holding for a bit too (rather than a short press…) but the controls are pretty decent. I was able to use it — at a much lower and hopefully safer temperature setting for PVC — to help me press-fit a bearing into the end of a tube.Honestly for my occasional hobby uses, a cheaper (but higher wattage) plug-in one with a base might have been more optimal in *some* regards. But this is a little more compact, isn't too unweildy/unstable with the battery on (just don't grab the hot parts!!!) and I'm sure I will appreciate the portability from time to time.

Great for Plumbing Jobs!
This pipe welder is perfect for DIY plumbing projects. It’s easily assembled and used. The supplied fitting match most home PVC pipe sizes, so it’s ready to use quickly.

Hold POWER button for 6 seconds to turn on, Heats up quick, Comes with different sizes.
Hold POWER button for 6 seconds to turn on, Heats up quick, Comes with different sizes. I have aftermarket batteries and they do fit with this tool, just needs a little push to hear it snap lock in place.I think people will mistaken this tool not working when pushing the power button, you have to hold it down for 6 seconds, turning it off is simple touch of the power button. I has all the sizes you need with your PVC pipes. What this does it basically heats it to the point of melting and you quickly combine the 2 fittings together quick to have it sealed together. As for how well this works, so far I personally don't have any issues with it. I'm just doing some PVC pipes and connections for my outdoor above ground pond setup.
