Best Space Heater
This is the best space heater for warming up a space. Sure, it is light and made out of plastic (when compared to Dreo which feels fancier -- I purchased both, so I would know), but it is more efficient. It warms a room faster. The room is warmed. I originally purchased a Dreo and most of my room remained cold. My room can contain two double beds packed tightly together, so it is not that wide. Still, this Russell Hobbs does what it says it will do. It warms the room and in about 5 minutes, my room goes from very cold to warm and cosy. The remote option is great. I can get into a warm bed, turn the heating off, and when I wake up - I turn the heater back on. Five minutes later, I can get out of my bed and start my day.Although it is light, it looks fantastic. It looks stylish. It can remain on the floor or on a table. I love this heater. Do not regret this purchase. If I could go back in time, I would purchase this alone and not the Dreo heater. Because I am not patient with returns, I gave the Dreo heater to a relative of mine who manages the cold better than I can and has a smaller room. One commenter mentions a creak - the creak occurred for a very short time in the very beginning. It may also happen once or twice when it starts again, but the creak is not distracting. Unless you watch tv on mute, it shouldn't be bothersome. It is not too loud - it sounds like a fan in the background or in complete silence, perhaps a sound similar to an air conditioner. It is a low whoosh that can be easily ignored if you are listening to something else. And if you like ASMR like I do, you will not even want to ignore it. If you check an ASMR video of an air conditioner, that is the sound in silence. So, it is not bothersome. I have had no issue with the buttons or controls. It is actually very understandable, and I set it on my own without the pamphlet. Once, you've tried the buttons, you cannot complain.I have had mine for just about a week, so if anything changes - I will update. However, honestly, even if I encounter an issue, I will return for an exchange of the exact product. That is how much I love this little heater.

Great quality, super fast heat in large areas!
What a great heater. Really happy with purchase, I was umming and ah-ing over another similar less well known brand on Amazon but really pleased with this choice! We had moved to a super cold older property and I was stressing over how to keep the freezing rooms warm when needed in the mornings. This really does the job, it heats up a large, poorly insulated, super chilly room first thing (in the freezing!) morning in literally minutes. Don’t have to worry about cold mornings any more! It’s been a lifesaver. It’s super quiet too. Not too small either as some look tiny (and like they won’t stand up to the task) but this one is perfectly sized to fit around the place and yet big enough to pack a punch! Really good quality too, doesn’t feel cheap and plasticity. Nice and easy to operate and use. Very happy

Stylish but some usability issues to be wary of
[I noted that almost all of the 16 5* reviews here were for free product. I paid for my £50 heater myself and think my experience outlined below was more realistic and insightful.]I really wanted to like this heater but had some key reservations and confidence issues. I liked the style and form factor, compact size and small footprint, also I wanted a remote control with countdown timer. It seemed ideal for bedroom use.I found the instructions a bit verbose but I persevered. For me there were some key usability issues though – the ‘power’ light is always lit when plugged in, that’s OK but once the digital display blanks out after a few seconds, you can’t tell what the heater is doing just by looking at it. Whether it’s turned off altogether (eg finished after timing out), or the thermostat has turned it off for now but the heater will keep running, you can’t tell without pressing more buttons.Personally I’d probably need to unplug it every time after use to be confident I’ve left it safely powered off. Unplugging it resets all your settings though. The countdown timer can switch it off after 1-24 hours, but on this model it can also be used to turn the heater ON after a delay of up to 24 hours as well. On the remote control, in standby mode, I found if you (accidentally) press the ‘timer’ button once, you in fact start the timer-ON function, so the heater will silently switch ON in one hour’s time and run indefinitely for the next 24 hours. For me this was the biggest drawback as you can’t tell what the heater’s doing (or likely to do) just by looking at it, and fumbling around with the remote might trigger this feature accidentally. You would have to deliberately press the timer button again, to reset the timer to ‘00’.I’m no tech dinosaur but there were too many button presses and beeps to contend with. I’m sure many users won’t mind it, but it has shortcomings and I think the product needs using with care and is likely to be way too complex and frustrating for others or eg elderly people especially. The fact that the plastic case of mine also ‘creaked’ annoyingly during the night when oscillating was the clincher, so it’s been returned.Alternative similar-looking ones are sold on Amazon that are a bit easier to use. I bought a similar-looking Dreo instead. Although not quite as powerful (1500W) it's somewhat better quality, overcomes all the usability concerns, has much easier instructions and I feel much more confident in using it.

Excellent Space Heater
This is a really excellent space heater. I use it to warm up my ensuite when showering. It sits a couple of feet outside the room but is well able to blow sufficient heat into the ensuite. It's remarkably quiet at its job, too, and I think it looks quite good. The size is excellent - not teeny tiny and not a towering monolith. My only concern is that the top touch controls are a bit too sensitive - the slightest touch activates them. Not great when you just want to move it a little or have an inquisitive cat.

Great for topping up the heat in our draughty living room.
We put this on before we use the living room in the evening to make the room nice and cosy. The remote control is very handy.
