Works perfect and well made. Make sure you are buying the correct threads for you purpose. Get it right and you will be glad with this purchase.Dopey me did a repair to my garden hose piping that is in my garage and I soldered on a regular faucet adapter, not a garden hose one. This adapter fixed that issue the easy way without me have to remove and solder again.

I used this adapter as a crutch, absent a sweated-on connection. So from that standpoint, it's not the "perfect" slution, but...In the past, I've had no problem ending some garden hose connections with 3/4" NPT copper threads (aka, the "wrong way") that sweat on to the end of 3/4" copper pipe. The 3/4" NPT isn't an exact match for a standard hose bib connection, but I've never had a leak/drip problem with a garden hose (with metal ends).However, recently I completed a backyard water line extension to which I connected a Gardena Retractable Garden Hose that, unfortunately, comes with plastic quick-connect fittings. And they didn't get along too well with my 3/4" NPT threads, even with a few wraps of teflon tape. Drip... drip... drip... I just can't tighten the plastic enough without risking splitting the connecting, or damaging the threads.Enter this simple adapter, with some pipe dope painted on to the 3/4" NPT threads and two wraps of teflon tape on the adapter's hose bib thread, and my contraption is drip-free.No rubber gaskets are included, nor are they required, to complete this leak-free installation.My preference would have been a soldered-on connection, for this always-pressurized connection, but in reality I'll probably never have to touch this again.

This fit perfectly. The female threads are PIPE, and the male threads are garden hose. I gave it four stars instead of five stars because the male thread section is too short. I had to use two hose washers to get it to seal. Other than that, it fit perfectly. If the male hose thread part was about 1/4 inch longer, this would deserve an easy five stars.

The item I received is definitely made of brass. It feels like the right weight for brass, and I scraped it to make sure it isn't just a brass finish on another metal. I purchased the adapter from Amazon, so perhaps some of the other vendors aren't selling the exact item as described. There are no identification marks on the adapter. The weight as measured on a postal scale is 46 grams, or 1.6 oz. (1/10th of a pound). The adapter worked fine for my application.

This appears to be a very well made fitting, smooth and polished nicely. Better quality than I have seen at my local hardware store.

Nope. Female end won't work with a 3/4" garden hose or 3/4" spigot. Waste of my money and time.
