Seems to last longer than OEM battery
I can't give any additional technical details about the battery itself vs its stated capacity, but I would estimate that the battery life of my iphone 12 mini is improved from when I first got it. I was pretty meticulous in doing the calibration after installing, where you charge to 100% for an hour, then drain to <10% about 8 or 10 times. It's very important for the OS to learn the battery conifiguration. The screwdrivers it comes with work fine, but you will definitely need additional tools to open it for the first time. My kit didn't seem to come with the standard battery adhesive, which while still a pain to remove has a tab to help free it from the backing. All I had was some basic adhesive strips. So, I'll probably have to heat and pry next time, but I can worry about that in another 3-5 years. For the price, I think it's worth the 5 stars.

Charge does not last any longer than a 4000mAh battery...
I wanted a battery that would last at least 16 hours. This battery is rated 3x as powerful as the standard 4000mAh Apple approved batteries and should work for 24 hours. After I bought this, I called several of the businesses that replace phone batteries and they all said that this was not an Apple approved battery and therefor they would not install it. I found one shop that said they would do it, but would not warrantee it. They did it, and a red warning came up in Settings saying that the battery was not recognized... That's very annoying. My old battery would last about 8 hours. This one does no better. Waste of time and money.Update two months latter - I am noticing my iPhone is unusually warm. I am guessing this is due to this new battery. Doing this again, I would have just purchased a newer model as a 14 or 15. I believe the 16 has just come out. With a trade in this should be less than $500. Smart phones are expensive.

Put new life into my old iPhone
This kit has but new life into my iPhone 8 which wouldn't keep a charge for the entire day. Now I can run it all day long and still have more than 50% charge at the end of the day. The installation instructions were good, but I recommend watching a few YouTube videos on how to change the battery before you attempt doing it. I was also pleased that the kit came with a replacement seal to help keep out moisture. Most of the video people didn't show replacing the seal. It was very time consuming but well worth the effort.

It worked
The battery seems to work good, but the tools weren’t the best. Make sure you have decent magnetic precision screwdrivers, the ones in the kit don’t work well. But despite having to use personal tools, the kit worked and the battery seems to work well. Probably not a repair for everyone, as the parts are very small and delicate. You need good eyes and patience. Left a star off since someone without their own screwdrivers would likely have a hard time

Closer to 16,000mah than 12,000
READ THE FOLLOW TEST I RAN…….2hours 30 minutes at 5v 4.8 amp to charge 12,000mah. Start time 10:25 at 2% or 240mah remaining or 11,760mah to go = 2hours 27 minutes to reach 12,000mah.11,760/4.8=2,450 or 2.45ah 2.45x60 minutes = 147 minutes or 2 hrs 27 minutes36.75 minutes should be 25% (at 11:20 or 55 minutes was at 25%. 18.25 minutes behind schedule for 12,000mah1 hrs 13.5 minutes should be 50% (Reached 50% at 12:15 or 1hr 50 minutes. 36.5 minutes behind schedule for 12,000mahReached 100% after 3 hours 40 minutes (3.33ah)3.33ah is 3,330 mah3,330x4.8amps per hour charging rate=15,984mahSooo this battery is actually closer to 16,000mah than 12,000mah.It came with all the tools needed and even a new seal so I did not have to purchase one. I had to search YouTube to learn how to replace it. Fit just right and overall was worth the purchase whereas an original iPhone battery is three times the cost at only 3110mah. So you essentially are more than four times the capacity at 1/3 the price. Keep in mind you get the message that it’s not original but other than that works like original iPhone battery that iPhone tries to force you to buy. I will be buying two more for other phones I have. Update: I purchased two more, one for my wife and one for my father in law three months later and both of them had almost the exact same test results. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

Has issues / update it got worse.
The good: The battery is clean and has nice fitted tape. The replacement seal installed very easily with the template. The meh: the tools are ok I have seen / used better but they will get the job done mostly. If you want to remove the Taptic Engine or speaker to make battery removal easier the tools will not remove The standoff screws for the speaker and tactic engine. The bad: as of right now, the iPhone XR is reporting this battery as unknown and has no idea about capacity charge or anything else and just throwing an error in general. I suppose if you don’t care about that then this would be a good fit however I suppose I’m going to have to return this battery for a different type as I want to make sure the phone performs correctlyUpdate: the phone is now claiming water in the charging port and refuses to charge correctly. There is no water in the port nor has it been near water. I would avoid this one.

The tools
I wanted to replace the batteries on both of our iPhone 11's. The first phone I started on, the first screws to take out were by the charging port, the first turn stripped the supplied tool, lucky I had tools from previous battery changes. I was able to get it installed in one phone despite the terrible instructions and no YouTube video's on this product could be found. While I was charging the first phone I started on the second phone only to find Apple installed different screws in this one and there is no tool to fit it! I had to put it back together with no new battery, also on the first phone, a "battery not recognized" light is on. They don't tell you this is going to happen! What a waste of money, now I have one semi working phone and a new battery that I can't install or return because I opened up the package and threw away all packaging. Very disappointed!
