One Word: YUMMMMM!!
Well, I saw the negative reviews on other sizes of this product and decided to take a stab and go for it, anyway. (But due to the negative reviews on the larger size, I went with this one.) Let me just say I agree with the good reviews: it is absolutely DELICIOUS, and I cannot stop eating this stuff! (Yes, straight out of the jar. Mason jar, that is—because that's what I transferred it to.)It arrived with all of the oil (not liquid) on top and a much firmer butter underneath. It will take some time and effort getting all of this out of the plastic container, but I recommend transferring it to a saucepan and letting it all melt on very low heat (just warm enough to actually melt it). Then, I recommend an immersion blender to fully incorporate the oil with the butter (could use a whisk, I suppose—but I'm extra like that. LOL) Finally, I poured this into 2 quart-size Mason jars. Coconut butter is said to be stable for months outside of the refrigerator. Nevertheless, I put the fuller jar into the refrigerator for longevity and have left the lesser jar out. It's perfect in the cabinet. (Mostly because I can access it quickly and eat it immediately, LOL.)I avoided the larger size of 8 lbs. because of the negative reviews. It might be worth trying out, after all. But this one's been great! I'll be ordering more! (And might even take my chance on the 8–pounder to save money.) Come to think of it, the 8-lb. product might be sitting in a warehouse longer because most people probably are not inclined to buy so much at one time. (Shrug)

Great value
This is a great size (56 oz) for anyone that uses coconut butter on a daily basis. We use it in coffee, baked goods, sauces, soups - it adds wonderfully rich flavor. It does harden, and as a result, is sometimes difficult to scoop out. But it melts well when heated, and frankly, it tastes so good that it's worth the work.

Good product
This product was a replacement for the same make and model. It was purchased based upon prior satisfaction.

This coconut butter is good but I've had other brands that exceeded in taste
Kevala Organic Coconut Butter 3.5 Lbs (56oz) arrived on time. This coconut butter is good but I've had other brands that exceeded in taste, quality and price. However, this Kevala Organic Coconut Butter is also lower in fat, calories and carbohydrates - which is a very good thing and the very reason I purchased this brand! But the label does not specify if the product is vegan, gluten free or Kosher certified. The label does state, "our product is bottled in glass to keep its freshness." This is very confusing because it is bottled in a large Plastic container. The coconut butter inside is like a concrete block, except for the top one inch layer of oil. It is natural for coconut butter to solidify and/or separate. Usually a quick immersion in a hot water bath does the trick to make the product easy to stir and the correct consistency. But not this. The container is large and in my opinion, a real inconvenience and waste of having to fill the sink with very hot water each time you want to use your coconut butter, and I use it every day- hence the reason I buy large quantities. I would not microwave the product due to the plastic container and I believe too much heat may alter the taste. I have spent hours and more money purchasing jars and carefully trying to transfer the coconut butter to regular size jars. I finally got all the coconut butter out of the large plastic container into a large mixing bowl and all mixed into a wonderfully coconut buttery consistency and ladled into jars. This has been an exhaustive process and also a very wasteful one working with this oily hardened mess. So I saved a few dollars, spent more on jars and my precious time. This time, all for the love of coconut butter.

Great quality for the price
Of course, like all pure coconut butters, once canned it will separate. There will be a layer of coconut oil on the top. Depending on your preference, you can gently warm the container and then stir it back in. Or, what I prefer is to skim off the coconut oil into another jar. And then I use a butter knife to break up the butter so it's easier to dish out the next time I use it. My home varies from 65 to 80 degrees day to day. So, my coconut oils and coconut butter behave accordingly from soft to hard. It's delicious either way.

Yummy - so far so good.
I was hesitant to order this because I usually go for one of the more name brand products. I received this coconut butter and it was well packaged and wrapped. When I opened it and put a spoon in it, it seems as though there is a larger percentage of coconut oil on top and less puree. The bottle is BPA free plastic, but I like glass so I put this container in a large bowl and poured hot water around it to melt it somewhat. Then I emptied the butter into a large glass bowl and placed it in the sink full of hot water. I let it sit for a while and then started stirring the puree into the oil. As the water cooled, I replaced it with more hot water and continued to stir. Eventually it was all melted and softened and I put it into smaller glass (mason) jars. With the 14 and 15 oz jars - the manufacturer's directions are to heat the jar and stir the oil back into the puree and that usually takes care of the separation problem. I will see if the same holds true with the Kavala since it seems to have more oil and with warmer weather it will be interesting to see how that goes. The taste to me was no different than the name brands - yummy.

I love coconut butter. It is the best anything coconut I love coconut butter, coconut oil.
This stuff is so good and I may be biased but I love anything coconut and this is just really great. It’s super yummy on a sweet potato. It’s great cooking I just love it. I use it on anything I can I have recipe that I use it with cocoa Butter and coconut butter and Craisins and I think there’s Honey in maple syrup in there but you let that stuff cure on a cookie plate or cookie sheet in the fridge and break it up as to be stored in the cold fridge it’s like peppermint bark at Christmas time but except for it has Craisins in it it is so darn good , it’s like a keto snack hummus and it’s super yummy but anyway, I love my coconut butter
