Q: Input 95vac, 500w, 60hz; output 59vdc. ambient <40°c. operation time 24/7, several weeks at a time. acceptable? input power can be reduced if needed.

If I read the question correctly with an input of 95VAC (which is 'low line') and a line load of 500W the AC current will be 5.3A, considering an efficiency of 80%, that makes the the output 59VDC @ 6.7A (400W). The power supply has an input range of 85VAC to 145VAC, even considering there will be more front end heating at 'low line' of 95VAC the power supply should work well. I am using 10 of these in test sets that can draw up to 15A for a couple hours. The power supplies seem to work well, I have no failures. I don't notice any heating at all and they have an internal fan.

Q: can i adjust voltage to 40 volts?

I'm not sure on how low u can adjust but I have had mine turned up to as far as 82 volt and it worked just fine (I've only ran it for 6 or 7 min that high at a time)

No, it cannot be connected in series or parallel. The overload protection value of this model is 150~200%. If your device peak Max 35A, it can be used. If your device is rated at 35A, it cannot be used.
