BenchmadePSK with Carbon Fiber & Black G10 Handle (593BK-01)

There is obvious evidence that the knife was used prior to being sent to me. The black finish on the blade had light wear from use and there was a second clear seal sticker applied over the original. The knife was $45 less than the standard price for the black carbon model so it’s totally tolerable considering the black finish will wear away with use anyways. Very solid build and sharp blade. Excellent quality and weight.

Benchmade is supposed to be a high quality knife but what I received was anything but that.The one I received was unbelievably dull! In fact it was 8 degrees off.How this was ever able to pass quality control is beyond my understanding. For a $450 knife, it is a ripoff! You’d be lucky to use it as a butter knife. For that price you can buy several Buck knives and switch them out whenever needed and at least you’d receive a sharp knife.I contacted Benchmade and didn’t get a response back, I guess they could care less about customer satisfaction.

The red thumb tab for opening the blade is too close to the handle, making it difficult to dig your thumb into it to open. Additionally, once you do finally get the blade opened, the spring assist opens the blade up great, however it slams the blade into the blade pull down release button, jamming the two together making it, yet another difficult task, to close the blade. I really want this knife to work out but I am not sure it will. This one may need to go back to engineering to make some fine tune adjustments. Hope this helps.

Thus far I have been please with this knife, Benchmade knives hold up great with top blades. Most of my knives are Benchmade, I have a Houge HK I really like too, pricey.
