QSC tops itself
I am a professional musician and use powered PA speakers as amplification for my keyboard rig and a separate system to act as the PA system. I own a pair each of QSC K-8's, K-10's, K-12's, and KW-122's and won't use powered speakers made by any other manufacturer. I've owned two pair of JBL EON's and a pair each of the PRX-710 and 712 speakers as well as powered speakers made by Mackie and EV.QSC makes the most natural sounding and powerful speakers of any manufacturer at this level of powered cabinet. They are all rated at 1000 watts, which is an enormous amount of power, and they project the sound over a wide area with complete clarity and no distortion. The KW-122, largest of the QSC 12" single speaker based cabinets, is made of birch wood rather than high density plastic as the K Series. The cabinet is also considerably larger than the K-12, even though the speaker and the amplifier are the same. The difference with the KW-122 from any of the other QSC speakers is the sound, which is sweet, strong, and totally realistic. The speaker design disburses the sound more evenly than any of the other manufacturers cabinets and the cabinets provide enough bass response to make the need for subs a matter of personal preference; most bands that just put vocals through their PA system won't need subs with the KW-122, nor will keyboardists. I play mostly rock and blues and my keyboards stress the capabilities of any speaker system I'm using. The KW-122 handles high volume piano, screaming organs, brass, and anything I can throw at them with grace. I usually use a KW-122 out front and a QSC K-10 as my personal monitor, the monitor set up as an aux output from my keyboard mixer. I've never been so pleased with a keyboard amplification system as I have with the QSC components, and specifically the KW-122 as my front line speaker.

Missing input jack locks.
Awesome speaker. For some reason this one did not have the locking mechanism for the input jacks. You can see that it was suppose to be there, but its missing. I purchased one from QSC through Guitar Center and did not have that issue. Its a mystery.

Get These If You're Running Live Sound
Worth the price difference from the K12's if you're running live sound. I owned the K12's and while they are amazing speakers and work great for recorded music (I used them for DJing) they are not as good for live sound. Reason being they are plastic cabinets and just don't sound as full or warm especially with vocals. The KW122's are the K12 electronics in a wooden cabinet and it really does make a huge difference with live sound. Full, warm, rich tone, I love them!

Loved my k12's, But.....
I am an active mobile DJ and have been a huge fan of the K12's that I have been using for the past 4 years. I am VERY picky about my sound. I always pair them up with the 181's.About 6 gigs into my new 122's, and have to say WOW what a difference!! I will never go back to plastic speakers (Except light things like wedding ceremony music). The headroom on the K122's is unreal, and like the 181's it is almost impossible to make them clip. I have actually done some parties without taking my subs (something I thought I'd never do...) and the sound is still hard hitting and full. These are to the K-12 what the 181 is to the K-sub- a Whole different level.

Great home theater speakers
I have these in my home theater and I am very pleased with them. I have all the headroom I need in my large room. The built in amplifiers are matched to the speakers perfectly by QSC engineers which is better than me purchasing home theater speakers and then trying to match whatever home audio amplifier with them. These are giant killers in a home theater, and I plan on keeping these for many years to come. No complaints so far. I've owned them for going on three years now.
