A solid kit that works well as a backup for your diesel heater, check to make sure there isn't any stray flashing on the socket - on mine the hole was only partially drilled through, and a flake of metal nicked my finger. Luckily it wasn't bad, but after looking at the socket itself figured I would file down all the sharp edges - better to be safe than sorry, and at least now I know it won't cut me or the wire to the glow plug!

I thought I needed this kit on hand when I serviced my diesel heater. I was having a couple issues and decided to disassemble my unit to investigate the cause. To my surprise my unit is still like new inside, and my issues were external.The tools work fine and all components look the same as what my heater was assembled with. You do need to pay attention when using the socket on the plug.In the end I found my issues were due to the lousy (and oddly sized) plastic fuel filter not sealing, and a factory flaw with the exhaust outlet casting. If you’re melting base gaskets and having excessive exhaust temps, check the casting around the exhaust. There are videos out there that cover this issue.The symptoms I was experiencing led me to believe I was having combustion issues, which was not the case.I have these parts on hand now in case I need them.
