It's very pretty!
This is a light wood bowl. I love that mine was stained darker that shown in picture, saving me time from having to restain it.It looks elegant in its primitive design.

A nice rustic natural look. Interesting look
When I first took this bowl out of the box, it seemed almost too rustic, as if someone whittled it out of a light tree. It seems lightweight, kind of like balsa but it’s made of Paulownia which is a hardwood type of tree prominent in Asia from what I read online. But I put it on a table near my front window and it is more attractive than my initial impressions. While it’s a not seasonal decor item, I think it works especially well for the autumn and spring seasons because of its natural color and texture. I plan to put some small decorative but real pumpkins and gourds until Thanksgiving and then twigs, pines and some red type of berries for winter.Speaking of the texture, it seems like it would be rough and maybe give slivers but that was not the case. There is a dark discoloration at the bottom of the bowl. It is possible that’s because it’s from a tree and there is expected variations in colors of wood. The bowl depth is pretty shallow but that is neither a plus or minus for me. If you like this handmade natural look, I would recommend.

More unfinished than rustic
Maybe it’s the one I got, but to me the style of this bowl is ambiguous. Is it rustic or just unfinished? Is it designed simply, or was someone lazy? I like natural, unfinished wood, but this bowl makes me want to get out the sandpaper. The grain pattern also leans toward sloppy/ugly rather than natural and interesting. It can definitely be styled with colorful items to look intriguing, but if I had seen this in a physical store, I would have walked right by without a second thought. For my taste, this is a DIY project rather than a fully finished object.

I dont know what this is for but it looks cool
Every one who comes into my house and sees this on my coffee table asks me what its for. I tell them its to make people ask me questions I cant answer. I cant think of any thing to put in it or use it for. Maybe halloween candy~(~?~)~ a fruit bowl~(~?~)~ IDK...but its cool, its wood, and, i like it~! I'll find its lifes purpose one day. But until then its ....to make people ask me questions that I cant answer.

Ugliest thing I've ever seen
I almost gasped when I pulled this out of the box. The haphazard way it was carved I don't think they can get away with calling "rustic" or "natural". It's shoddy work. It looks like you could get dozens of splinters simply by holding it. It looks like someone used a cheese grater and was trying to turn it into sawdust for their hamster's cage. It is large, I'll give it that. But it's very ugly and awful. I sat it outside on my porch table and used it as a planter. Honestly, I hope someone will just steal it so I can be rid of it.

Very Rustic
This looks very rustic and like it was made by a teenager in wood shop class. Very unfinished looking and when I touch the outside, it feels like there is dust still on it from the wood shop. From afar it looks okay, but when you get closer you notice all the issues.
