As good as a plastic straw
Who wants a paper straw when you can use this amazing straw. Eco friendly and doesn’t turn to mush like a paper straw.

The best of both worlds – durable and eco-friendly!
A few weeks ago, I had people over for a housewarming party and needed straws, but I didn’t want to go the route of plastic straws. At the same time, I hate those paper straws that dissolve before you even finish your drink. Since I already had a great experience with the EcoPreps containers, I decided to give their straws a try—and I’m so glad I did! These straws are the perfect middle ground. They hold up throughout the entire drink without getting soggy or breaking apart, and the best part is they’re still biodegradable and sustainably made. No plastic waste, and no frustrating, dissolving paper messes. As a bonus, they’re individually wrapped, which makes it easy to hand them out to guests without any concerns about cleanliness or hygiene. Perfect when hosting a lot of people. These are definitely a 5 star product for me!

Compostable, kraft-colored, sturdy straws good for 12 ounce containers
These are some very interesting eco-straws so I wanted to try them out. They are kraft-colored like the box they came in, and are on the smaller side (8"), meaning more for smaller sized glasses and cans. They fit a 12 ounce glass or beverage can very well. The diameter of the straw is about 3/16". They definitely are not like paper straws in that they have considerable strength. If I did not know they were made from sugarcane products I would think they were plastic. I have had one of these straws sitting in a glass of water for a couple of days now and it has not degraded at all like a paper straw would have. The ad says they are compostable, but the process will take about a year. I think that is a great asset for an eco-straw, in particular, because most paper straws can fall apart within a matter of hours depending on how they are treated. There is definitely room in the market for longer lasting recyclable straws.I also ordered these straws to have some wrapped straws in my house for guests, because the other permanent straws I have without a wrapper would be a bit of a concern to most people not knowing how well they were cleaned and stored. Trying to add some kind of wrapper to a permament straw seemed too difficult to keep up with and would just end up making more waste. The first straw I pulled out of the box was somewhat malformed. The tip of one end was slightly bent in and the other end had a very small seam of about 1.5 inches in length compressed along one side of the straw. The seam would be best described like the kind of seam you would see compressed into the paper cover of a straw. This was a manufacturing defect. I mention this because in the effort to get away from a huge number of plastic straws being disposed of daily globally, I think we all need to be open to some experimentation and mishaps while the businesses promoting the eco-products work to get it right. Despite the flaws in this first straw it was actually usable just the way it was. The next straw I pulled out of the box was perfect. So no stars can be deducted due to the effort made by this business to make this product widely available. If they know about a problem I trust they will go out of their way to remedy it.

Biodegradable and do not get soggy
These straws are individually wrapped (to keep others grubby/dirty fingers off). The diameter of the straws is smaller than most, but they work without getting soggy. I've left them in a half full glass of water overnight after using all day and the next morning, they were still intactThey do have a little bit of texture to them, but its not terribly noticeable. They do not alter taste of the drink. These take away the guilt of using plastic straws and there are no micro plastic being sucked up as you hydrate. Being biodegradable is a big plus too.

Long lasting
These are actually great straws. Anything biodegradable is ok with me and they hold up longer than most biodegradable straws. Another bonus is that they’re individually wrapped so I toss a few in my bag just in case.
