My kids have always enjoyed the little water art books, and I have always appreciated how they don't really leave a big mess behind. This is a large version of those, and they have a lot more creative freedom with the mat. No paint is involved, which is great when it is cold and we can't go outside to use real paint.

This is a great toy/activity for toddlers and ours loves it! The mat is large and although the edges are not colorable, there's enough room for multiple toddlers to use one mat if needed. Set up is very easy, all you have to do is unfold the mat and then unscrew the markers and put tap water into them. The end will automatically absorb some of the water and then you can apply onto any of the white/blank area of the mat. Since it only uses water, it's non toxic and very easy to clean up. This comes with many different water markers and accessories (ie. Shapes to draw around) so allows for hours of fun! The mat dries fairly quickly so it can be reused multiple times during the same play time but not quick enough that your toddler or you can't appreciate their work! I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a mess free, non toxic coloring option!

arrived on time, no chemical smell, packaged nicely. The paintbrush tool doesn’t let the water out very well but the other marker brushes work well. easy for a 19 month old to use and keeps her entertained for a long time. Great alternative to markers and pencils. Especially when my kid loves to draw on everything but paper. Would recommend and purchase as a gift.

Hard for toddler and adult to use. Wouldn’t recommend. Good as a floor protector but not a great coloring mat
