Solid, customizable anti-virus.
I have been using Bitdefender Antivirus since 2008, but lately decide to switch to Kaspersky. As AV-Comparatives place both the antivirus companies at top, I decided to try Kaspersky on my gaming rig.Things I like:- Snappy, user-friendly UI: The UI of Kaspersky is very basic and easy to navigate through. Unlike in Bitdefender which I find cluttered and messy, Kaspersky has a left-hand column for navigation and everything is categorised under General, Protection, Performance, Scan and Additional.- Additional functionalities: Kaspersky has its own tit-bits like IM AV, Mail AV, Web AV and System Watcher (for malware).- Flexibility: Kaspersky will ask to scan every time you connect an external device to you computer. You can always perform this task, or completely disable it. Unlike in Bitdefender where scans happen at its will and whim.Summing up, I find Kaspersky AV to be more customizable. It provides solid protection and can be adjusted to make your system very secure. The only feature which needs to be worked on is Game Mode. Kaspersky's game mode doesn't seem to detect if a game is running and decides to update itself regardless. Maybe it is because I play games in windowed-borderless mode and Kaspersky game-mode only works when games are in fullscreen. Kaspersky also takes a few additional minutes to start when the computer is logged in. Other than these trivial irregularities, I really like this antivirus.PS: People who abandoned Kaspersky in around 2008 due to the hellish virus alarm sound can rejoice because it is not there in 2016 edition. :)

Lightweight Application with Slow Updator -- A Decent Buy!
Kaspersky is a pioneer in Antivirus Industry and certainly a favourite among the masses. I always have had a mental war in choosing between Kaspersky and Quick Heal and till now Kaspersky is the winner and has been in my computer system for 4 straight years. It is lightweight and does not slow down the computer and hence deemed favourite for me. I will be penning down Positive and Negative aspect of the antivirus in points for easiness of the readers.::::::::::::::::::::::: Positives :::::::::::::::::::::::1) Lightweight -- The antivirus is extremely lightweight and hence the system does not feel any pressure and works smooth.2) Ease of Update -- It can be updated in any connection as regular updates are generally in few MBs to KBs thus not putting pressure on your data consumption.3) Worry Free Use -- Once installed, the application does it work silently and does not irritate the users It takes care of periodic scans, vulnerability scans, external device scan, etc. if auto-update is on, it even starts update on its own. However, it is advised to take note on whether the update is done regularly or not.4) Simple Application Interface -- The application interface and simple and hence appreciable for the lot.5) Hassle Free Installation -- The installation of the application is a child’s play and can be done quite smoothly. Additionally, the Kaspersky Antivirus can be downloaded from the official website too, if your CD ROM has some issues.6) Activation in a Whip -- The activation takes hardly 30 seconds on a decent connection and can be even completed in a slow connection without failing multiple times.7) Remote Monitoring -- Kaspersky has the option of remote monitoring starting from running scans to seek reports totally from the official website.8) Cost Friendly and Customized Option -- There are numerous version of the software depending upon the user’s preference usage and it very cost centric and hence is so very successful.::::::::::::::::::::::: Negatives :::::::::::::::::::::::1) Slow Updation Speed -- The update though very small in size takes much longer to complete even in decent connection.2) Lags at Startup -- When the PC is switched on and the desktop home screen is displayed, the software takes somewhere around 2 – 2.5 minutes to gain command.3) Full Scans is Heavy -- When the Full Scan is started, it takes decent amount of system’s memory putting pressure on it which makes the system run slow.As we venture the pros and cons of the product, I, as a home user feel perfectly comfortable using it and would highly recommend it. However, if you venture too much in web and need extreme security, I would surely advise to go for Quick Heal.

3) it would be further better if you check and confirm its detailed minimum/system requirements
What an Anti-Virus: version 2016 1 pc 1 year, fulfilled and delivered by Amazon within 72 hours , well packed, untouched and so full 1 year subscription after activation, Aug 2016 packaging. working well with my win 7 ulti 32 sp 1. PROBLEMS: 1) 100mb download for first updation straight after installation, isn't it a little big ? 2) the download link provided in the product packaging [...] takes to the trial of latest product(s) in process, the 2017 edition for now ! ADVICES : 1) no need to connect to internet during basic installation but when you want to activate and update the program. 2) whether you have dvd rom or not, it would be wise to always download the proper installer from kaspersky official site(s) and try it free for one month before you buy it (if you haven't tried it earlier !). the oficial download link for 2016 Anti-Virus is @ green Download Button @ this page: [...] .3) it would be further better if you check and confirm its detailed minimum/system requirements, prior to installtion ! 4) if you think your computer is very badly infected then first use kaspersky rescue disk ,previous to installation ! why ? because infections become active when OS is active and the rescue disk provides you with means to deal with them with full power when they are still asleep that's just from a parallel boot. That can be run from usb drives as well ![...] in fact i would dedicate a 4 gb pen drive for it and would try to seal it in a way that it becomes bootable but not writable (like the cd came in the pack) so that no malware can change it any way and it lives with me as long as the pen drive lives thats for 5 long years and i can use it on any laptop with usb card reader. 5) last but not the least, be alittle careful scratching & finding out activation code, better scratch it gently with a smoothly edged coin. Thanks and regards,Vineet Garg.
