Thai coffee - authentic
I ordered this coffee because it's the same brand of Thai tea that I used to drink in Thailand. I've been using a French press because I don't have the coffee/tea long filter bag. This product is an authentic way to make Thai coffee at home and I would recommend it for that reason.

Unique coffee
I enjoyed the Chatramue Ground Black Coffee. The coffee is good and unique. The coffee is very robust with strong, earthy. There is a lot of sugar in the ingredients but it is not very sweet on its own. I tried it multiple ways - plain, with sweetened condensed milk, and with regular milk. My favorite preparation was to add regular milk with a pump of vanilla syrup - it tasted like cookies and cream. I also had it hot and iced and both were good. The directions are in grams so it's difficult to know how much coffee that is without a scale.

This is one-third sugar and only one-quarter coffee
The ingredients are not in the product listing and are partly obscured in the product photograph, so here they are: sugar 37%, roasted coffee 25%, roasted corn 2%, roasted soybean 10%, margarine 2%, salt 1%.This doesn't compare too well with the very strong, extra dark roast iced coffee at roadside stands and cafes in Thailand or at Thai restaurants in the U.S., which is brewed very strong and liberally sweetened with canned sweetened condensed milk, as it's served over ice which dilutes the drink as it melts. This is indeed a very dark roast and has the complex flavor of "oleing" that results from the inclusion of other roasted grains, in this case corn and soybeans. It has a pronounced burnt taste and the package is 1/3 sugar, which makes this excessively sweet, even for Thai iced coffee. The inclusion of salt and margarine in the product is puzzling.

Delicious Thai Mixed Coffee
I absolutely love the flavor of this Thai mixed coffee. It has the perfect balance of sweetness and bold coffee taste. Whether I have it hot or cold, it always tastes amazing. I highly recommend trying this if you enjoy unique and flavorful coffee blends.

Makes pretty good cold brew coffee
What I find works best for me with this coarsely ground coffee is to put some into one of the disposable empty paper brewing bags that I have, and letting it soak in a pitcher of filtered water in the fridge. I let it soak overnight, and enjoy a tasty glass of iced coffee the next day.I like the flavor of this coffee, it's strong enough without being bitter. I think it's a good grind for making cold brew.

Disappointing and Undrinkable
This Chatramue Ground Iced Black Coffee was a huge disappointment. It wasn't even close to being good. The taste was terrible—bitter and off-putting, nothing like what I expected. To make matters worse, it didn’t dissolve properly, even after using boiling hot water and letting it sit for 15 minutes. I was left with a gritty, unpleasant texture that made it undrinkable. I won't be buying this again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a decent cup of coffee.

Good Thai Mixed Coffee
This is the first time that I had this coffee, I liked it! Use 10 grams of the coffee grounds in 150 ml of boiling water. Note: the package says 150 ml water, so I think the listing is incorrect as it says 120 cc. This makes about 4 oz of coffee, so I doubled the ingredients to get an 8 oz cup. After I added the coffee to the water, I turned off the heat (not positive if I should have left it on to keep it boiling) and let it sit for 5 minutes. I used a metallic coffee pot filter to strain out the coffee grounds. The coffee is dark black. The taste is milder than what I expected, and after a little research I found that it's a medium roast. It has a more bitter taste compared to American coffee. I enjoyed it black and hot, but cold (O-Liang) is good too! The coffee has a "Best Before: 01 Jul 2026: date, so it has a long shelf life. It takes a little bit more effort to make this coffee compared to a drip or Keurig, but it was worth the effort for something a little different. Give it a try, I liked this coffee, and it has my recommendation.

Easy to make and good robust flavor.
I am used to pretty basic methods of brewing coffee and have not tried to make Thai coffee before, so this was an experience for me. I think this roast and mixed grind of coffee bean is done well and provide a truly unique flavor over traditional coffee. I am used to my AeroPress and I have a metal strainer for it, so I thought that it would reasonably match the intent of the way this coffee should be brewed and also allow it to retain the oils from the bean that a traditional paper filter would remove. I would say that this is almost akin to making a tea over a coffee. The tea comes in a foil lined bag that does not reseal, so you will need to figure out how to keep it fresh unless you drink a lot of it and go through a bag rather quickly. Being as I didn’t have a jar handy, I just rolled the part of the bag I cut open (one corner) and used a binder clip to hold it firmly shut. This isn’t perfect, but it seems to be working for now. I noticed that the coffee didn’t have nearly as strong of an aroma from the bag as I would normally expect, but this coffee is pretty different than what I’m used to.The coffee seemed to be easy to brew and the different grind sizes did produce a nice mix of imparted flavors to the coffee. It took a while to strain the coffee with the filter I have as it is pretty fine, so I’m guessing a less fine or larger strainer would be desirable. The end result was a dark and smooth coffee with a nice roast to it. I wanted to experience the raw coffee, so I elected to not use sugar or milk/cream and just have it with ice. I can say that it worked out well and it turned out to be a delicious coffee with a truly unique (for me) flavor.
