I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this desk, and the one thing that was consistent was that it takes a long time to assemble. They did not lie!! That said, the instructions were great in my opinion, and it’s a beautiful, solid desk. Very sturdy. I’m satisfied with my purchase!

It is sturdy for put together furniture and needs two people for assembly. There are pieces that could have been made as one to reduce the work.It is lovely and holds a lot of stuff. I have a desktop and it works very well with the desk. I should have checked first, but I am getting along well without a keyboard drawer. Labeling was clear and holes lined up.Comfortable height for my office chair. I like the glass doors as I can display my collectibles. It's a bit heavy when putting on the top. But it needs to be.

It's a beautiful desk and very heavy! It ended up taking myself over 5 hours to assemble, along with the 5 drawers. Not enough wood glue, but I had some myself, buy some for sure to use for all the dowels. Take your time and add the glue at all dowels and have a wet rag hang to wipe any squeeze out. Be careful not to over torque screws, some very small and kinda cheap, but whatever. Again, nice desk, saved money assembling myself, but be prepared to follow the image instruction guide and take hours to complete. Not sure I would buy it again unassembled, vs a furniture store and pay for assembled desk. One drawer a bit tight, but made it work.

Love it! It looks great! It’s just what I wanted. Parts fit together good. Very solid piece of furniture. As far as assembly goes, it is an exercise in patience. Directions are primarily drawings, so you have to be very careful figuring out the orientation of the wood pieces & the parts. Organizing them around the room was crucial for us. And l labeled the parts in plastic bags with a sharpie to identify them easily. It’s also very heavy so we assembled it as close to where it was going as we could. I had a bottle of wood glue so we just used that. Pretty sure what they give you wouldn’t be enough. It took us a couple days to put together (we needed to take a lot of breaks). But the best part is my husband & I are still married!!! (Remember the patience part.)

This is a nice piece. Sturdy. We were disappointed with the back of it. Thought it would look more finished. It was a beast to assemble, but if you’re patient it will be fine.

I love it! It's beautiful and good quality for the price. It takes hours to put together but it's easy and everything is organized and labeled. It is really heavy it needs 2 people to carry the box. It was lightly damaged but I don't know if it came like that or if it got damaged during delivery since it takes 2 to carry the heavy box and it may have been difficult for the delivery person to do it by himself. I glued it and it's fine. I'm really happy to have it!!!

Item arrived ahead of schedule and in perfect condition despite rough handling by PedX (our guy talks on the phone held to his ear by his shoulder while delivering :(), was in perfect condition. For those who think comments about the crazy high number of pieces, it is astounding. All were well marked. We had exactly one bad screw, but no big deal as there were extras.Got a bit more than halfway through (up to putting on top) the first day after about 5 hours. Second day was about 4 hours. On the 3rd day I took apart some bits that I had installed in reverse. The instructions are pictographs and mostly good, but there are a few pieces that can be installed one of two ways, and I did that (twice - yeah, not proud). For reference, be careful with the orientation of part #2. It's obvious once you see it, but the instructions aren't helpful here.While 80% is just standard Philips screwdriver, there are a couple of places where a short handled or right angle screwdrivers is a necessity. Good hex keys are a big help. You can do it with the little ones they provide, but it's way harder than it needs to be.Tried to ignore the comment about power screwdrivers, but indeed they would not drive any screws successfully. Your hand and wrist are going to be sore when you're done.But the good news is that it looks great. It's incredibly sturdy so lots of good engineering there.The drawers are indeed really short, for reasons that are not clear. But there are 5 of them, so that helps. Not using it for files, so that part didn't impact me.Recommended. But have patient friends and give yourself a LOT of time. Worth it though.

The instructions have nothing but pictures which are sometimes leaving out details that will lead you to undo half of the work you have already done. Its not a bad desk. The middle drawer sits a little low. Honestly, it took me over seven hours to put together. The back panel is flimsy but looks okay. It has no feet on the bottom so I will be buying something to put under it to make it easier to move. I did assemble it alone but there are a few moments you would benefit from another pair of hands and arms. Overall it looks nice but had the most trouble getting the drawers mounted well.
