SABLUE Calligraphy Brushes Set

While I have not yet started Japanese calligraphy painting, I've always liked the idea, and already have the ink - so a brush set was a natural progression.I liked the look of this one with a holder for when in use and drying, and a brush roll to keep them clean and with bristles intact when not in use.The holder is black plastic, and snaps together easily. It also comes apart easily, but is sturdy for the purpose intended in between those two points. (Lightweight jewelry holder? Quite the possibility!)The brushes are in a variety of sizes - the largest was a little bent during shipping, but some water and gentle words got it back into place. Most of them have holders to protect them.I like the feel of the bamboo handles. All but two of them have loops of string to keep them in the holder.The brush roll is lovely, functional, and will be quite happily used.

This is a nice brush set, with various sizes of brushes to choose from depending on your needs. I like the look of the stand, and it was easy to assemble. The bamboo mat is handy, too.There was a small crack in the stand, but it doesn't seem to affect its performance, probably because the brushes are so light.
