It's real suede, not a man made fabric, which is one of the reasons I purchase them. I treated them with a brand name water protection spray before wearing them at all. They fit very true to size, to the extent that some people might wish they came in traditional half sizes rather than the European sizes. Their slip resistance is adequate, and the soles do grip the floor, but I am not sure I would wear/test them in a rainy day. They look very much like the very expensive brand they are... emulating. I have footwear from that brand and they are worth the money. However, I wanted to get a pair in this style in that brand but wasn't sure I'd feel comfortable with the look. Rather than going to the specific stores that may carry the expensive brand to try this closed-toe version, I figured I'd pay a fraction of the cost and 'test drive' these. I'm picky about shoes, like so many people, and I am very pleased with these. The feel, the look, the comfort is great. They don't look cheap and, if treated with a good water-resistant spray when they're new, I think they are a great value for the money. As for durability, I've only had them for a few months but I think they would reach the six month and one year mark if used and maintained carefully. However, as with many other types of merchandise, reviewing durability edges on guesstimating or trying to read the future, which I can't. I would have to wait and see and maybe update later on.

I have to say these, are the “dogs”. They look and feel great and you don't need to look to Germany to get the German look. Don't get me wrong they nailed the style but I'm not taking out a 2nd mortgage to look Kosher, when I can wear these and look French. True to size, slip-resistant, and all the other adjectives Amazon prompts you to consider. If you are looking for an inexpensive alternative trust me look no more I've done my homes. I love them.

Finally after buying the 3rd size I think we have a winner. I mean I have a narrow foot and tried them all on with thin footies. I wear a woman's size 7, after reading the reviews I first ordered a size 6.5, they look good and are comfy but too loose so I tried the 6, still too loose and finally I bought the size 5 and had to put them on the last hole to tighten them and we have a winner!! Im so happy lol. Quality is good and the color even looks more darker like pictured so I'm happy. And the sole inside is nice and comfy. And they all were delivered quickly now I just need to return the first 2 pair lol but they are def worth it and for the price def better than birkenstock, these are actually more comfy inside. I would just be cautious if you have a narrow/slender foot, you def have to go down a size or 2 but they are worth it! Very happy!

Possibly the most comfortable shoe I've worn.I have problem (oversensitive) feet and these clogs have been a god-send. They have good arch support, they are flexible, and the top is very soft. They are not slippery. And so comfortable! A hundred times better than the original famous-name brand that sells for $150+ I waited to see how the buckle fared (given the reviews that it breaks easily) and it stayed put, so I bought a second pair (different color). They are great as indoor shoes (like Crocs, but less clunky) and they are great as regular shoes. Just beware of the stains if you buy light colors. High quality shoes for a reasonable price!

Pleasantly surprised! These shoes are cute, comfortable, and affordable. More importantly, they stand up to use!

Love these clogs. I was going to buy from Birk at $160. I realize they are not necessarily as well made but they were super comfortable right out of the box. I wore them around all evening. Honestly, I was prepared to try them on and send them back if they were no good because they were so inexpensive but as it turns out, these will likely be might “go to” shoes for the summer. Be careful about ordering your correct European shoe size. I don’t feel like the conversion tables from European to US shoe sizes translate very well.

I am usually a women’s 8 1/2 or 9 with a slightly wider foot so I usually opt for the 9. These shoes were large.Even with heavy socks on. My foot was sliding all around. If they would have fit properly, I think they would have been very comfortable. I’m returning.
