Worth it!
We got this because it was a much cheaper alternative to having the plumbing company jet our pipes. It worked great! Saved us hundreds of dollars. Hooked up easily to our pressure washer, fixed the clog we had in our pipes.

worked better than expected
This sewer jetter worked like a charm. It self fed down my septic pipe out to the leach field 100' without a problem. very easy to use.

So far so great
We had a plugged kitchen drain, that we tried to unplug with one of hose bladder attachments that you put on your hose then shove down the drain and turn on the water. The pressure of that managed to crack the old cast-iron pipe. Our nephew is a plumber, who we should have called in the first place. He had the pipe cameraed, and found it to be severely clogged with "black sludge". I guess that is the soap/detergent residue buildup from the sink and dishwasher. The company that cameraed it offered to hydrojet the pipes for a mere $1400, If I acted now. If I waited it would be $1800 later. I thanked them and turned it down. I then did some youtube research and found that hydrojetting was best done between 3000psi and 6000psi. Well my pressure washer just happens to be 3800psi, so I did some looking and found this kit for less than $100 and figured I should try this before shelling out that much money. I'm glad I did. I attached the hoses, and the rotating head, because I figured that would be the best one. I opened the clean out and started putting the line in, and found that it was pretty bendy and I was afraid it would not go down the pipe, but then thought maybe once I added the water pressure, and started the pressure washer, it would firm it up and I would be able to push it through. That didn't change much, but the way it works is the nozzle has one opening straight forward, and the other ones point backwards, so the back pressure pulls the hose through, until you hit a clog, then the forward facing one breaks the clog up and then the hose gets moving again. It was so much easier than when I have tried to use a snake, though the "black sludge" came back up through the clean out, which was fine as it was outside of the house, so if you were using it inside you would need to be prepared with towels and buckets are something to contain the nastiness that comes back out, until the clog was completely gone, then all of the water just went down the pipe and into the sewer. This was easy to use and so much cheaper than hiring some one to do it, plus now i have it for any future plumbing clogs. I 100% recommend it. I can't really vouch for the longevity of it, but it more than paid for itself even if that is the only use I get out of it, though it seems as though it will give me at least a few more uses before I start seeing any ware and tare.

Just add Pressure washer
One hundred feet of hose might be over kill. Needs pressure washer with over3500 PSI and at least 4 GPM for best function. Use of a pre-screen or filter would prevent mineral clog of nozzle. I clogged several nozzles due sand or mineral particles in supplied water.

So much easier than a power snake
Like many older homes we have a constant problem with our kitchen sink clogging up. The house was built in 1978, and we bought it in 2005. Since owning the house we are mindful of what goes down the drain but over time the kitchen sink would start draining slow.I bought a rather expensive power snake with 50ft of line to take care of this when it happens. I found out snakes are messy and can be difficult to work with. After several years, my snake stopped working. The next time the kitchen started draining slowly I decided to call a plumber rather then fix my snake. after paying him to come out, the drain clogged up within a week. Called him back and he said he would try snaking it again, but if it that didn't work he would need to jet it. I never heard of this so asked how much that would be and I was told $500! After he left the drain seemed to work fine. I decided to research this sewer jetting procedure and discovered for less then $500, I could get the sewer jetting kit and a small portable pressure washer for the next time the drain needs cleared.I bought the kit in June of 24 and today was the day to put it to use. I can tell you this was way easier then fighting my snake to go get a clog down a 2 inch drain, that's past 3 elbows and roughly 50' away .Because of the 2 inch drain I slid back the black protective sleeve off of the end of the hose. I figured this would allow the hose to be a bit more flexible to make the tighter turns needed to reach the clog. In the past I worked the snake in a cleanout under the sink. With the 100 ft. hose I can now use the vent on the roof. This now provides a much cleaner job then a spinning coil slopping crap around under the sink. The sewer jetting hose with a little coaxing made it to the clog and in no time worked its way thru it. I ran the hose back and forth for awhile, along with changing fittings just to make sure the clog was cleared. Evan though I feel this worked much better, I guess at this point only time will tell how well it did do. However, in the meantime I now have a pressure washer to use for other things, not unlike my snake that I am now ready to yard sell.
